Whether you prefer Qantas, Velocity or flybuys, reward yourself with points for being a generous Easter bunny.

Easter is a great time to relax over the long weekend, participate in passive-aggressive Easter egg hunts with your family and, perhaps most importantly, gorge on chocolate. However, it’s no secret that supermarkets and retailers jack up prices this time of year. Why not reward your generosity with points?

It might not seem obvious, but whether you’re a Qantas frequent flyer, Velocity lover or a flybuys fanatic, there are plenty of ways to earn reward points on your purchases this Easter.

If you want to get more than a stomach ache from your Easter bounty this year, read on to discover how you can reward your gift-giving with points. So, are you egg-cited?! Let’s get cracking! (We’re so sorry, but we had to!).

How to earn Qantas Frequent Flyer Points this Easter

From supermarket rewards to food delivery, discover how your Easter gifts could help you score a free flight with the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.

Woolworths

Supermarkets are a haven of chocolates eggs and bunnies in the weeks leading up to Easter. Thanks to the partnership between Woolworths and Qantas, you could turn your supermarket-bought Easter eggs into frequent flyer points. You'll earn 1 Woolworths Reward point per $1 you spend at Woolies. You can either keep them in your Woolworths account to redeem for money off your shop or you can transfer them to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account. For every 2,000 Woolworths Rewards, you can redeem either $10 Woolworths Dollars off your shop or 870 Qantas Points in your Qantas Frequent Flyer account. This equals around 0.43 Qantas Points per $1 spent at the supermarket. If you pick up last-minute chocs from a Caltex fuel station, you’ll also collect Woolworths Rewards that you can trade for Qantas Points.

David Jones

When you shop via the Online Mall, you'll collect 5 points per $1 spent at David Jones. As well as fashion and beauty, David Jones is known for its decadent chocolate and confectionary selection. Of course, the Easter season is no exception. You can collect points on everything from Belgian milk chocolate eggs, cartons of rocky road and hot cross bun-flavoured eggs and jars of chocolate speckled eggs.

Want to win a $500 David Jones Voucher and enjoy discounts of up to 50% off? See our David Jones Online Sales and Promotions guide for more details.

Peter Alexander

If the recipient of your gift is trying to be good this year or you want to mix it up this Easter, you could always gift PJs rather than chocolates. Luckily, Peter Alexander’s Easter Collection has you covered. Featuring some of pop culture’s most iconic bunnies from Peter Rabbit and Miffy to Bugs Bunny, you can earn 4 points per $1 spent on gifts at Peter Alexander when you shop via Qantas’ Online Mall. Pajamas might not be the most traditional Easter gift, but, unlike chocolate eggs, they’ll have some longevity.

Visit our Peter Alexander Discount Codes and Coupons page for 20% off sales items and other discounts.

Deliveroo

Why not get goodies delivered straight to your loved one’s door this Easter long weekend? Of course, the dining possibilities are almost endless, but our top pick would have to be Doughnut Time’s collection of Easter-themed delectable doughnuts. For a limited time online, sweet-tooth shoppers can take their pick of the ‘Chubby Bunny’ (pink and white cream glaze, mini marshmallows, rainbow sprinkles and custom chocolate bunny), the ‘Yolk Addict’ (yellow, white and eggshell cream glaze, mini white sprinkles topped with a Cadbury Creme egg) or the ‘Scavenger Jackpot’ (blue and white creme glaze, crushed Oreo, M&M speckled eggs, chocolate eggs and a mini Malteaster bunny). If you can’t decide, you can get a four or six pack of your favourites to share. Regardless, you will earn 2 Qantas Points per $1 spent with Deliveroo.

Qantas Frequent Flyer credit cards

If you'd prefer the freedom of earning Qantas Points on all of your eligible purchases rather than just with Qantas retail partners, a Qantas Frequent Flyer credit card could be the answer. Depending on the card you use, you can collect up to 1.5 Qantas Points per $1 spent and up to 75,000 bonus points on sign up. While these cards offer an easier way to earn points on your purchases over Easter and beyond, they come with annual fees and interest rates that should be compared before you apply. While we wouldn't suggest you pick up a Qantas credit card just to cover Easter costs, it could be an easy way to reward your everyday spending with points.

Want to double your Qantas Points this Easter?

Qantas is offering frequent flyers a chance to double their points until July. If you spend with any of Qantas’ partnered retailers (such as any of the above) you’ll earn twice as many points up to 5,000 per month until July. This means you could earn up to 15,000 bonus Qantas Points in between now and then, some of which could be earned on your Easter bunny bounty.
