What's the offer?
We're giving a $300 digital Visa card to the first 300 eligible customers who switch to an eligible Medibank hospital + extras cover through Finder's comparison service.
Who can get the $300 reward?
To be eligible, you must:
- Be an Australian resident aged 18 or over
- Be a Finder member (or sign up for free)
- Be a new Medibank customer or have not held Medibank health cover in the last 60 days (unless you're a dependent coming off a family policy)
- Switch to an eligible combined hospital + extras policy
- Complete a quote via Finder, then sign up and start cover via Medibank between 11th December 2025 and 12th January 2026
- Set up direct debit payments
- Ensure your policy is still active and payments are up to date by the eligibility check on or before 31st March 2026
- Stay on cover until the reward is fulfilled (on or before 30th April 2026)
What Medibank policies are eligible?
Updated Eligibility: Eligibility now begins at Basic tier. Any combined Hospital and Extras cover at Basic, Bronze, Silver, or Gold level is eligible.
How do I know if the offer is still available?
This offer is limited to the first 300 eligible customers. You'll know it's still available if you see it displayed on https://www.finder.com.au. Once the 300-customer limit is reached, the offer will be removed from the site.
Who's not eligible?
You won't qualify if:
- You're already with Medibank or had a policy in the last 60 days (excluding dependents coming off a family plan)
- You don't use direct debit
- Your name and email don't match exactly between your Finder quote and Medibank purchase
- You're not a Finder member
- You sign up for:
- Corporate covers
- Hospital-only cover
- Extras-only cover
- Accident Cover
- Overseas Visitors Health Cover
- Overseas Workers Health Cover
- Overseas Students Health Cover (OSHC)
- Ambulance Cover
- ahm covers
- Other selected covers
- You're a Medibank employee
- You sign up outside the promotion period (before 11th December 2025 or after 12th January 2026)
When will I get the reward?
If you're eligible:
- We'll run an eligibility check by 31st March 2026
- You'll get your $300 Visa card via email by 30th April 2026
- Make sure your policy is still active and your payments are up to date
- The Visa card will be sent by Blackhawk Network, our rewards partner
How long do I have to activate the card?
Activate within 90 days; valid for 3 years after activation.
Can I use it with Apple Pay or Google Pay?
Yes! Once you receive your digital Visa card, you can add it to your Apple Pay or Google Pay wallet and start using it just like a regular card. Setup instructions will be included in the email.
What if I entered my details incorrectly?
Your first name, last name, and email must match exactly on both your Finder quote and your Medibank purchase. If they don't, you won't receive the reward – so double-check before you switch.
Other things to know:
- This offer is run by Finder (Hive Empire Pty Ltd, ABN: 18 118 785 121)
- Rewards are fulfilled by Blackhawk Network. Their terms apply too.
- We may earn a commission if you switch through Finder – but our priority is helping you compare and choose what's right for you
- You should always review Medibank's terms and privacy policy before signing up
- We may change or end this offer at any time – the most current terms will always apply
How will I know if the offer has ended?
The offer will be removed from the Finder website. If you're unsure whether it's still available, feel free to reach out to us before applying.
How do I make sure my switch is tracked properly?
To ensure your switch qualifies:
- Always click the unique promotion link from Finder's site or app
- Complete the purchase within 3 hours of clicking the link
- Don't use incognito mode
- Disable ad blockers
- Enable cookies and allow cross-site tracking
- Only keep one Finder tab open when switching
Can I claim both this offer and a Medibank sign-up deal?
Yes – as long as you meet the eligibility criteria for both promotions. This Finder reward is separate from any other offers Medibank may be running. Make sure to read the Medibank terms and conditions on their site to confirm you're eligible for theirs too.
Can more than one person in my household claim the offer?
Yes – but only if each person signs up to an eligible policy in their own name, and each transaction:
- Uses a unique Finder account
- Completes a quote and sign-up separately
- Meets all eligibility criteria
Only one reward is allowed per eligible transaction.
What if I cancel or change my cover before 30th April 2026?
If you cancel your policy or switch to an ineligible cover before the reward is fulfilled, you won't receive the Visa card. You must maintain your eligible Medibank cover until the fulfilment check is completed.
Is my personal information safe?
Yes. Finder complies with all privacy laws and only shares your details with partners as needed to process your switch and fulfil your reward. You can read more in our privacy policy.
How do I know if I'm one of the first people to claim the offer?
We track clicks and purchases via Finder, but final eligibility is confirmed after checking with Medibank and confirming your policy is active. Only those who both purchase an eligible policy and meet the offer terms will receive the reward.
Does Lifetime Health Cover (LHC) loading affect my eligibility?
No - LHC may affect pricing but not your reward eligibility. Even if the quote includes LHC loading, you're still eligible as long as:
- You clicked through from Finder
- You purchased an eligible policy within the promotion window
What if I'm issued a new quote by Medibank?
You're still eligible if:
- You clicked through from Finder
- You completed the purchase online (not by phone)
- You purchased an eligible product
If a new quote is generated during the process, that's okay - as long as you remain in the Finder journey.
Can I upgrade or change my product after signing up?
Yes - if you're a new Medibank customer who signed up via Finder during the offer period, you're still eligible if:
- Your new product still meets the eligibility criteria
- Your sign-up occurred during the promotion window
Can I sign up to Finder using my Apple ID?
At the moment, you can't use an Apple ID to sign up for Finder if you want to claim a reward (even though that option is available). This is because Apple's private email relay feature hides your real email address, which makes it impossible for us to send you your digital Visa gift card or verify your reward eligibility.
To ensure your reward can be fulfilled:
- Sign up with an email address that you have full access to
- Make sure your Finder account details (first name, last name, and email address) match the details used when purchasing your policy or product
If you've already signed up using your Apple ID, we recommend:
- Creating a new Finder account using a regular email address
- Using that account to access and complete your reward-eligible transaction
Who do I reach out to if I have more questions?
If you have any questions about the offer, your eligibility, or haven't received your reward by 30th September 2026, you can contact Finder's customer service team:
