Youi came in first place overall for customer satisfaction, scoring 4.39/5. It scored highly in all surveyed states for customer service, features and benefits, ease of application and value for money. On average 94% of Australians surveyed nationally said they would recommend Youi to a friend.
Budget Direct was the second most popular home insurance brand surveyed. It's one of the cheapest home insurers on the market and gained an overall score of 4.3/5.
Everyday home insurance, formerly Woolworths, ranked in third place, gaining an overall score of 4.3/5. One of its major perks is its discount. You get 10% off your grocery shop, once a month, with a home insurance policy.
Home insurance customer satisfaction winner - NSW
Australia Post home insurance came in first place in NSW. It scored 4.43/5 overall. 91% of people surveyed said they would recommend Australia Post to a friend.
NRMA home insurance came in second place in NSW. It scored 4.38/5 overall. 90% of people surveyed said they would recommend NRMA to a friend.
ING home insurance came in third place in NSW. It scored 4.34/5 overall. 89% of people surveyed said they would recommend ING to a friend.
Home insurance customer satisfaction winner - QLDYoui came in first place in QLD, scoring 4.45/5. 92% of people surveyed said they would recommend Youi to a friend.
ANZ came in second place in QLD, scoring 4.38/5. 94% of people surveyed said they would recommend ANZ to a friend.
Woolworths (now Everyday insurance) came in third place in QLD, scoring 4.38/5, but marginally lower than ANZ overall. 92% of people surveyed said they would recommend ANZ to a friend.
Home insurance customer satisfaction winner - SA
RAA came in first place in SA, scoring 4.58/5.94% of people surveyed said they would recommend RAA to a friend.
Woolworths (which has now rebranded to Everyday) came in second place in SA, scoring 4.43/5. 95% of people surveyed said they would recommend it to a friend.
Youi home insurance ranked in third place, gaining an overall score of 4.36/5. 91% of customers surveyed said they would recommend Youi to a friend.
Home insurance customer satisfaction winner - VICYoui came in first place in Victoria. The popular insurance brand scored 4.46/5 and 97% of people surveyed said they would recommend Youi to a friend.
RACV came in second place in Victoria, scoring 4.45/5. 92% of people surveyed said they would recommend RACV to a friend.
Australia Post came in third place in Victoria, scoring 4.29/5. 87% of people surveyed said they would recommend the insurer to a friend.
Home insurance customer satisfaction winner - WAAustralia Post came in first place in Western Australia, scoring 4.57/5. 96% of people surveyed said they would recommend the insurer to a friend.
RAC came in second place in Western Australia, scoring 4.56/5. 95% of people surveyed said they would recommend the insurer to a friend.
ING came in third place in Western Australia, scoring 4.44/5. 97% of people surveyed said they would recommend the insurer to a friend.

To get our customer satisfaction award winners for home insurance, we asked a total of 6,116 customers how they felt about their current home insurer. To be eligible for inclusion in the final results, we had to get a minimum of 35 responses for each home insurer.
