Hi, my name is Andrey from the marketing team of DreamTeam.
DreamTeam is an infrastructure project for esports and competitive gaming markets and the payment gateway for it. So basically what we are doing is we are boosting the whole esports market by doing three things.
First one is a blockchain-based payment gateway. So we make smart contracts for all things in esports, like salaries for the players, tournament prize money payouts or sponsorship fees. Secondly, we're making the marketplace for the whole industry, so for all these esports entities – like a database with the teams, players, sponsors, tournaments. Everything under one roof.
And thirdly we're making the tools for esports entities to grow, like management tools for the players or recruitment tools, or analytic tools. So in the essence of all of it, it is a sponsorship and marketing tool. So we will connect them and basically will provide an opportunity for any gamer on the planet to earn money on their passion. So we are like an IMDb, eBay and LinkedIn for gamers in one place.
And what kind of games are we talking about? Because you say games and you say sports. So specifically what are you talking about?
Yes so we are talking first of all about esports; it's competitive gaming played professionally. So there are a couple of top games which are League of Legends, Counter-Strike, Dota 2, Overwatch, Call of Duty, that kind of stuff. Right now we launched a battle with Counter-Strike and we are adding more games.
But in the future we're not talking about just the couple of top games – we're talking about the whole industry of competitive gaming. We will make an API so any game developer can make modules based on our platform.
So what problems are you solving that other people haven't solved?
The esports market is booming; however, it is restricted by three main problems. First one is insecurity and fraud so even on the top level, on a pro level, non-payments can happen so sometimes a tournament doesn't pay out the prize money or a sponsor doesn't pay the sponsorship fee, or teams don't deliver what they're suggested to do.
We are the guys from esports; we're from one of the biggest esports teams in the world called Na'Vi or Natus Vincere and even like on tier one level, sponsors didn't pay us sometimes. And on semi-pro and amateur levels it's complete disasters. There's no third party service or some agreement system which will allow you to do so in a proper way. That's why we're making a payment gateway.
Secondly, the market is very fragmented so there are all separated different entities, there is no database and a place to go. So when you want to go to esports, what do you do? You go to some conferences, message people in LinkedIn; it's a disaster. It's not like a modern market.
So we want to make one place where we will connect everyone. Sponsors, teams, tournaments and players, everyone in one place. And certainly we will not only connect them but provide them the opportunity to monetise, because right now there are absolutely no tools to do that due to the things I've told before.
