      Hi Philip,

Thank you for contacting finder.com.au. We are a comparison website and general information service, we’re more than happy to offer general advice.

I highly recommend you request a free copy of your credit report/score.

Simply add your phone number to get our Finder app and start requesting your credit score.

Alternatively, you can click on the “Continue on web” if you wish not to get your score through the app.

A pop-up window would appear. Click on the “Log in” tab if you already have a Finder account. Click on the “Register” tab if you wish to create a new account.

Once you’re in, you can then request your credit score.

      I hope this helps.

      Cheers,
      Danielle

If I apply for a student personal loan do I have to be a student for the full span of the loan?
    Thanks.

      LiezlMay 9, 2017

      Hi Steph,

      Thank you for your question.

No, you don’t have to be a student for the entire term of the loan. There are actually loans which you can apply for during your final year in the university. You can check the loan options available for students on our student loans page.

It is important to consider your financial circumstances and your ability to afford the loan before applying.

      I hope this has helped.

      Cheers,
      Liezl

      ElizabethMay 4, 2016Finder

      Hi Lilly,

Unfortunately I’m unable to offer you any personal advice, but you’re able to apply for this personal loan as long as you meet the minimum eligibility criteria:

You are over 18 years of age
You are an Australian citizen or permanent resident
You are in paid employment (subject to Bendigo Bank’s Lending Criteria)
There is no more than 2 applicants for this application
You are listed on the loan as a borrower (Bendigo Bank is unable to accept applications completed by a third party or guarantor via this medium)
You have a credit history free of payment default, court judgements or bankruptcy

Keep in mind that your financial situation will be considered by Bendigo Bank when you’re being approved for the loan and it’s important to consider if you can afford the repayments before you apply. If you’re looking for more information you might want to contact Bendigo Bank directly.

      Hope this has helped,

      Elizabeth
