hi ian why is my computer slow i have nbn from the curb
Hi Des, A lot of factors can impact Internet speed. With fibre to the curb, older wiring from the curb into the house can be a factor. Wi-Fi performance can also be an issue – if your router/modem is in one room but your computer is elsewhere and the house has thick walls or other structures, that can also slow stuff down. If you’re unhappy with your plan, this first step is to talk to your provider and ask them to run a line check to make sure the baseline service is being delivered.
Why don’t you compare to Telstra?

can i keep my email adress if i change providers
Hi Allan, Generally speaking, if your email address is part of your package and included the provider name (e.g. Internode or TPG), you can’t easily maintain it if you move to a different provider. Most providers don’t include email as a service anymore, and even some of those that do (such as Internode) have been moving away from the service, so switching to a non-provider address (using something like Gmail or Apple Mail or Outlook) can make sense.
I do not have a computer only have an Android mobile phone .
The area I live in has very spasmotic coverage and I am unable to receive phone calls In side my home. What is the best and most economical way for me to go to rectify this
Thank you
Hi Laureen, Getting a basic NBN connection at home will allow you to connect your phone to Wi-Fi, meaning you’ll be able to receive calls more easily. Given you don’t have other needs, you might want to look at basic NBN plans. Hope this helps.
I have fibre to the premises NBN looking for cheapest plan and need a modem 2 person, no streaming, pensioners !!
Hi Ian, For very basic needs, you can compare NBN 12 plans – these are less common these days though, and you can find plans that are just as cheap with NBN 25 as well. Hope this helps.
