Our experts have put in the time and effort to research the best products and service providers in Australia. But, the best product for one person isn't going to be the best for everyone. So, in every category we explain how we determine our top picks and how to find the best option for you.

How we decide what's best
How we choose our top picks depends on the product or category we're comparing. On each of the pages above you will find the detailed methodology.
Finder also runs the Finder Awards where we find the best performing product in each category over a twelve month period or at a given moment in time. Our insights team gather multiple data points on most products each month or quarter, compare each metric to the rest of the market, and apply a score using our Dynamic Scoring System. You can check out the current award winners and how we chose them here.
Why you can trust Finder
At Finder, our experts research the market, compare products and drill down to the important features to find the best products. We've been doing this since 2006 with the mission of helping people make better decisions surrounding their finances. Our team is passionate about the stuff that you might not be and works tirelessly to research complex subjects and what they mean for you.
Our principles underpin everything we write and we fiercely protect our editorial independence. What that means is, everything we write, review and analyse is free from commercial bias.
How we make money
Finder is free to use, and always will be! We don't sell your information to marketers, or harass you with annoying phone calls. Plus, we don't mark up prices or charge additional fees. Our analyses, reviews and opinions are our own.
If you choose to click on certain links or use the phone numbers listed on our site, we may receive a referral fee. But that doesn't stop us from comparing products for which we don't get compensated. Any referral fee is not passed on to you and we don't inflate prices. If you don't click or call, we will not be compensated.
