Zip rolls out mobile plans to all Australians with big discounts. Are they worth it?

ZMobile by Zip is now available to all Australians, with big discounts on its mobile plans for the first 6 months.
Zip has partnered with TPG to offer prepaid mobile plans on the Vodafone network.
If you're not familiar with Zip, it's a digital financial services company that lets you buy things now and pay for them later in smaller instalments.
Zip initially launched its mobile plans exclusively to Zip customers earlier this year, but anyone can now sign up.
Here's a quick look at the plans before we get into the details:
Finder Score for mobile plans
We've scored over 290+ mobile plans on everything from cost to data allowance and important features.
Our experts give each plan a score out of 10 - totally fair, with no commercial strings attached.
Are ZMobile's plans worth it?
ZMobile's 6-month discounts are competitive across all plans, but for ongoing pricing and data allowance, the 45GB plan offers the best value.
Its entry-level 20GB plan is a decent option, but unlike the other 2 plans, it doesn't include 5G access or 500 international call minutes to 25 countries.
There's also an app for you to manage your plan and purchase roaming packs.
One thing to keep in mind is that ZMobile only offers eSIMs, so you'll need a compatible phone to sign up.
You can check if your device is supported on its website.
