Kick off 2026 with a frequent flyer credit card that takes you to the skies (without breaking the bank).

Is 2026 the year you become a points-earning, jet-setting frequent flyer? If so, you'll need the right credit card to get you there.

We've rounded up the 5 best frequent flyer offers on the market in January. These cards have the highest Finder Scores in the Qantas and Velocity categories, based on a combination of earn rates, bonus points offers, card benefits and annual fees.

As a general rule of thumb a high-scoring card will offer plenty of bonus points, complimentary travel insurance, an earn rate of at least 1 point for every dollar you spent and maybe some nice benefits like airport lounge passes.

A good card might have a high annual fee ($400 or more) but the value of the card should outweigh the fee.

1. Qantas American Express Ultimate Card

The Qantas American Express Ultimate Card has a Finder Score of 9.9.

This card is once again Finder's top frequent flyer credit card. It gives you 90,000 bonus Qantas Points if you meet the spend conditions.

The $450 annual fee is high, but with a matching annual travel credit it works out to nothing if you book an eligible flight.

And the earn rate is very high at 1.25 Qantas Points per dollar spent.

2. Qantas Money Titanium

The Qantas Money Titanium has a Finder Score of 9.83.

This card scores really highly because it offers a massive 150,000 bonus Qantas Points, plus 20% bonus status credits and an earn rate of 1.25 points per dollar spent.

Where it gets tricky is the annual fee of $1,200. And the minimum income requirement of $200,000.

This is a card for big spenders on high incomes who are chasing a higher Qantas Status along with points.

This card offers a very generous 130,000 bonus Qantas Points if you can meet the spend criteria ($5,000 in the first 3 months) and hold the card for over a year.

There's a $425 annual fee but you can also get $200 back if you meet the criteria for the bonus points.

The card has plenty of features like 2 complimentary Qantas Club Lounge invitations per year, travel insurance and a 24-hour concierge service.

4. American Express Velocity Platinum Card

The American Express Velocity Platinum Card has a frequent flyer Finder Score of 9.41.

Finder's highest scoring Velocity offer, this card gives new customers 60,000 bonus Velocity Points if they meet the spend criteria.

It also offers 100 bonus Status Credits, Virgin Australia lounge passes and an annual complimentary domestic flight. And it has a high earn rate of 1.25.

The annual fee is $440.

5. Qantas Money Platinum

The Qantas Money Platinum has a Finder Score of 9.15.

You can get up to 100,000 bonus Qantas Points when you spend $5,000 in the first 90 days.

You earn 1 point per dollar spent and the annual fee is discounted to $349 in the first year.

Details of these cards are correct at time of publication and subject to change. All these cards were identified as the "best" cards using the Finder Score, a data-driven methodology that considers rates, fees and card features.
