Finder Green Fave: Everyday Humans Resting Beach Face Sunscreen

Everyday Humans provides a comfortable sunscreen that's good for you and the planet.

Looking to try a new face sunscreen but feeling a little lost on which one to choose? There are a number of brands on the Australian market, all sitting at different price points and SPF levels, with long lists of ingredients.

Everyday Humans promises to take the nonsense out of sunscreen. How? By providing you with products that are comfortable, good for your skin and most importantly, good for the planet.

The products in the range include face and body sunscreens, as well as balms and salves to hydrate and nourish your skin. We got the opportunity to test the cult-favourite Resting Beach Face SPF 30 Sunscreen Serum.

What makes Everyday Humans eco-friendly?

To start off with, you should know that Everyday Humans is vegan, cruelty-free and made in Australia. These are all big ticks in my book.

Everyday Humans formulates its products without parabens, sulphates, phthalates, mineral oils or artificial colours and fragrances. The sunscreen range in particular is also free of oxybenzone, octinoxate and PABA, which are toxic to both humans and to coral reefs.

In terms of the packaging, Everyday Humans hits the nail on the head. Its packaging is 100% recyclable. The plastics used have either been recycled already or are recyclable, the bottles are biodegradable and the paperboards are FSC-certified.

Taking the promise one step further, the brand also chooses to work with manufacturers that are also committed to sustainability. The suppliers use solar-powered plants, energy-efficient practices and ethically-sourced ingredients.

We tried it and loved it

The Resting Beach Face Sunscreen Serum is dermatologically tested and designed for all skin types – it doesn't matter if you have dry or oily skin.

The SPF30 sunscreen-serum hybrid protects your skin from UVA/UBA rays, all while promoting good skin health.

It's formulated with hyaluronic acid, spinach leaf extract and green tea extract. These ingredients work together to protect your skin from environmental factors, lock in moisture and give your skin a radiant glow.

I use the Resting Beach Face Sunscreen in the final step of my skincare routine, after moisturiser and before makeup application. Thankfully, it sits under makeup beautifully and doesn't cause any of the products you put on top to pill.

The glow that you get from using this product is unmatched, and it looks gorgeous on the skin. I also love how fast-absorbing it is, and it blends into my skin effortlessly.

Where can I get it?

As of recently, Everyday Humans is now stocked at beauty superstore Sephora. It retails at $41 for 50mL.
