You'll find NBN plans in the comparison table below that are available at your address.
Keep in mind that typical evening speeds for FTTC connections may differ from what we've shown on the comparison table. The speed you'll receive will depend on your distance from the distribution point or curb. Your exact typical evening speed should be confirmed with your chosen NBN provider.

Look like you've got access to an FTTC connection
An FTTC or Fibre to the Curb connection is where a fibre optic cable runs to a distribution point on the street. From there, the existing copper network is used to connect your premises to the NBN.
If you have an FTTC connection, expect download speeds of up to 100Mbps. It's considered a more reliable and faster connection than FTTN (Fibre to the Node), but FTTP (Fibre to the Premises) and HFC (Hybrid Fibre Coaxial) are faster.
How do I compare NBN plans?
Consider these 3 questions while you're comparing internet plans to make sure you find one that's right for you.
How much are you willing to pay?
Finder found the average broadband user spends $75 per month on their internet plan, but your budget might very well be different. The price of your plan will largely depend on what NBN speed you're after.
What speed do you want?
This depends on the size of your household and what you're planning to use the internet for. The general rule is: The more people in your home and the more time you're spending on the internet, the faster the speed you'll need.
How much data do you need?
Unlimited is usually recommended if you use the internet regularly. Lighter users can potentially get away with plans that come with a specific data allowance, for example 10-500GB a month. Keep in mind this will save you around $5 a month, but may not be worth it if you think you'll exceed your data limit.
To help you find the right NBN plan for your needs, you can use our handy filters on the comparison table above to narrow down your choices to your preference.
Which NBN speed is right for me?
There are 6 NBN speed tiers available in Australia:
For 3-4 people who are simultaneously online. You can avoid buffering internet issues while streaming, working from home or uploading and downloading files.
Mostly suited to small businesses rather than your regular family home, unless there are multiple people living in your household with very heavy internet usage.

Hi Norm,
You can get a landline with an AGL NBN plan which retains your present number. This costs $10 extra a month on top of your NBN plan, plus you need to use a modem supplied by AGL and you need to BYO your own compatible handset.
Hope this helps.

Finder is one of Australia's leading comparison websites. We are committed to our readers and stand by our editorial principles.
We try to take an open and transparent approach and provide a broad-based comparison service. However, you should be aware that while we are an independently owned service, our comparison service does not include all providers or all products available in the market.
Some product issuers may provide products or offer services through multiple brands, associated companies or different labeling arrangements. This can make it difficult for consumers to compare alternatives or identify the companies behind the products. However, we aim to provide information to enable consumers to understand these issues.
We make money by featuring products on our site. Compensation received from the providers featured on our site can influence which products we write about as well as where and how products appear on our page, but the order or placement of these products does not influence our assessment or opinions of them, nor is it an endorsement or recommendation for them.
Products marked as 'Top Pick', 'Promoted' or 'Advertisement' are prominently displayed either as a result of a commercial advertising arrangement or to highlight a particular product, provider or feature. Finder may receive remuneration from the Provider if you click on the related link, purchase or enquire about the product. Finder's decision to show a 'promoted' product is neither a recommendation that the product is appropriate for you nor an indication that the product is the best in its category. We encourage you to use the tools and information we provide to compare your options.
Where our site links to particular products or displays 'Go to site' buttons, we may receive a commission, referral fee or payment when you click on those buttons or apply for a product.
When products are grouped in a table or list, the order in which they are initially sorted may be influenced by a range of factors including price, fees and discounts; commercial partnerships; product features; and brand popularity. We provide tools so you can sort and filter these lists to highlight features that matter to you.
Please read our website terms of use and privacy policy for more information about our services and our approach to privacy.
