TPG NBN prices just went up – except on these two popular plans

Key takeaways
- TPG's NBN 25, NBN 50, NBN 750 and NBN 1000 plans have all gone up by $3 to $5 a month for both new and existing customers.
- NBN 100 and NBN 500 are the exceptions, with both staying at $94.99 a month.
- However, new customers can get either plan for $69.99 a month for the first 12 months, a total saving of $300.
TPG is the latest provider to raise NBN prices, though it's left its two popular speed tiers untouched and added a 12-month deal for new sign-ups.
TPG NBN price changes
As you can see in the table, most of TPG's NBN plans are now more expensive, except NBN 100 and NBN 500.
| Plan | Old monthly price | New monthly price | Price difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| NBN 25 | $76.99 | $79.99 | $3 |
| NBN 50 | $84.99 | $89.99 | $5 |
| NBN 100 and NBN 500 | $94.99 | $94.99 | No change |
| NBN 750 | $99.99 | $104.99 | $5 |
| NBN 1000 | $109.99 | $114.99 | $5 |
You may be wondering why the NBN 100 and NBN 500 plans are priced the same, even though NBN 500 is 5 times faster.
This is now a broader trend among providers following changes from NBN Co last year.
In short, eligible homes on NBN 100 plans can now access NBN 500 speeds for the same price.
We'll skip the tech jargon. You'll know what plans are available to you when you enter your address on TPG's (or any provider's) website.

| NBN 500 | $69.99 a month for the first 12 months, then $94.99 a month ongoing |
The offer also includes a free modem if you stay connected for 24 months.

Alternatively, you can bring your own modem if it's compatible.
Why are NBN prices going up?
The increases are driven by NBN Co raising its wholesale access fees from 1 July 2026.
Most providers are passing at least some of that through to customers, and TPG is no exception.
Optus, Telstra, iiNet, Superloop, Dodo, Belong, Aussie Broadband and others have all confirmed similar hikes.
Some have already landed or will take effect in July.
