Compare credit cards that earn you Qantas Points
1. Birthday vouchers
Qantas sometimes sends birthday vouchers or other special offers to frequent flyer members. These vouchers can get you discounts on Qantas Holidays or Qantas Hotels bookings.
While these offers are not guaranteed, or sent to everyone, it's worth checking your inbox if you're about to book a holiday or flight.
2. Qantas Business Rewards special offers
If you run a business and have an ABN, you can become a Qantas Business Rewards Member. This gives you lots of different discounts and promotions.
You can get 10% off base fares for some flights just for being a member. Promo codes for discounted flights appear in the special offers tab when you checkout.
You can also earn Qantas Points via spending with Qantas business partners, get discounts on flights via points, earn extra points and get discounts on Qantas Club membership.

3. Qantas home insurance discounts
Qantas Insurance policies are a great way to snag a discount too (plus extra Qantas Points). Right now, Qantas home insurance policies are offering:
- Up to 40,000 Qantas Points (if you join by 27 May).
- 15-30% off your first year's premium (depending on the policy).
4. Qantas car insurance discounts
A Qantas comprehensive car insurance policy can also get you 15% off your first year's premium if you purchase online.
You can also earn bonus points when you take out a policy (ends 27 May).

How we picked these5. Book hotels and flights via Qantas Holidays
Booking flights and hotels together via Qantas Holidays can get you some decent discounts (and is sometimes cheaper than booking the same elements of a trip separately even without a special offer).
Keep an eye out for offers on the booking portal, particularly in the hotel deals and the fly + stay deals sections of the site.
Some deals claim savings that go into the hundreds of dollars. Right now, for example you can get up to 30% off at participating Oaks Hotels stays.
Qantas Holidays can save you money versus booking direct
I tried to book a 7-night trip to the Sunshine Coast and found the Qantas Holidays deal (flights + hotel for 3) was $700 cheaper than booking a separate Qantas flight and booking the hotel directly.
It's over $1,000 cheaper versus using a third party booking platform. Now, there may be cheaper hotels and cheaper non-Qantas flights, but as a like-for-like comparison this is a great saving.
6. Car hire via Qantas partners
You can book rental cars with Avis, Sixt and Budget via the Qantas car rental portal. You can earn points this way and sometimes access special deals or discounts.
Before booking, it's worth checking the car hire websites too. There are sometimes Qantas promo codes that get you bonus Qantas Points (in addition to the normal points you earn booking via Qantas).

7. Qantas wine discounts
Buying wine via Qantas Wine is a great way to earn points and get a lot of discounts and special offers, including free delivery on bigger orders.
Right now you can get up to 15,000 bonus Qantas Points on select orders.
And you can regularly find promo codes for new customers on Qantas Marketplace.
And use a credit card that earns Qantas Points
It goes without saying but if you're spending a lot of money in the Qantas eco-system and you're a frequent flyer member, you want a credit card that earns you Qantas Points.
Let's say you spent $2,000 on flights and $300 on car hire via Qantas. You could earn 4 points per dollar spent on the car hire (1,200 points) and 2,000 points for the flight.
But if you paid for all of that with a credit card that earns you 1 Qantas Point for every dollar spent, that's a further 2,300 points. Now you've earned 5,500 points.
And while Qantas Points aren't a direct saving the way a Qantas discount or promo code is, if you redeem your points for reward flights or business class upgrades, they're very lucrative.
Qantas Money Platinum
The Qantas Money Platinum has a Finder Score of 9.6 and offers up to 120,000 bonus Qantas Points with a $349 annual fee ($399 after that).
To get those points you'll need to spend $5,000 in the first 3 months, which gets you 80,000 points. You get the rest if you haven't earned Qantas Points with a credit card in the last 24 months (that's a big caveat as it excludes veteran frequent flyers).
