Finder Green Fave: KeepCup Bottle

Cut down on single-use plastic with KeepCup's new reusable bottle that you can use for water, tea, fruit infusions and more.
KeepCup is known for its reusable cups, which help reduce the number of disposable takeaway coffee cups that end up in landfill each year. Now, KeepCup has branched out with a stylish range of reusable bottles.
Unlike most bottles, KeepCup's design twists open in the middle to make it easier to fill with different types of drinks, and easier to clean.
What makes the KeepCup Bottle green?
These reusable bottles help cut down on the number of plastic bottles we buy and throw away. While most plastic bottles can be recycled, around 373 million still go to landfill every year in Australia.
The KeepCup Bottle can be re-filled from the top, or untwisted and filled with just about any drink you want. They come in a mix of stainless steel and reusable plastic designs, with silicone seals.
The bottles are also lightweight, which makes it easy to carry them around.
Depending on the design, a KeepCup Bottle could keep your hot drinks warm for up to 2 hours and cold drinks for up to 8 hours. You also have a choice of a 530ml bottle (size M) or a 660ml bottle (size L), with colours including green, blue, black, pink and clear.
Like KeepCup's reusable cups, these bottles meet industry standard sizes for takeaway coffee orders, so if you're feeling thrifty you could just buy a bottle and use it for all your drinks.
An added bonus: You could save around $950 over 6 years by switching to a reusable bottle, according to Finder research from 2021.
KeepCup co-founder and managing director Abigail Forsyth OAM said in a statement that the bottles have been designed for everyday use and create "more opportunities for people to choose to reuse".
KeepCup has always been committed to designing innovative products which challenge the reality of our linear, landfill-based global economy, and our new bottle is no exception.”
KeepCup also designs its products so that individual parts can be replaced as needed, and keeps its packaging to a minimum. It also donates 1% of all global revenue to environmental causes through 1% for the Planet.
Plus, it's a certified B Corp, which means it has been independently assessed and certified as a business that meets high social and environmental standards.
Where can I buy it?
KeepCup Bottles start from $39 and are available through the KeepCup website and selected retailers including Biome and eBay.
And if you want to shop around, you can also compare other reusable water bottles that Finder has ranked based on hundreds of customer reviews.
