Whether you believe in it or not, astrology is a cultural mainstay. You might read your horoscope religiously or believe it's all total nonsense, but odds are you probably know your star sign. But do you know what it says about your financial habits?
We surveyed 2,086 Australians to find out the relationship between your star sign and your money traits.

Which star sign is the happiest?
The optimistic Sagittarius are the happiest of the zodiac signs, with 83% saying they are happy.
Meanwhile Libra, somewhat existential and contemplative, comes at the bottom of the list with less than three-quarters (71%) believing they are happy.
Which star sign earns the most?
Libras are the top earners with an average salary of $96,948, followed closely by Leos with $88,495 and Geminis with $88,421.
On the other end of the spectrum, Scorpios have the lowest income of $58,108. Capricorns, known for their determined and ambitious nature, interestingly also have one of the lowest average salaries ($58,837).
Which star sign saves the most?
When it comes to how much each star sign saves per month, Taurus tops the list with $713. Taurus also saves the most as a percentage of their income, putting away an impressive 26% of their salary each month.
Scorpio saves the least amount of money each month ($363), and also saves the least as a percentage of their income (14%).
Hard-working and pragmatic Taurus also has an impressive bank balance ($36,058), but overall Aquarius has the most money in savings ($41,975). Meanwhile Capricorns have the least amount in savings ($13,075) followed by Virgos ($14,697).
Who is the most stressed about money?
Despite having one of the highest savings rates, Cancers are the most worried about money. More than a quarter (27%) of Cancers admit they are "extremely stressed" with their financial situation. Fiery Aries (26%) and Scorpio (23%) come in second and third place.
Virgos are the least stressed of the zodiac signs when it comes to their finances (17%).
Which star sign shops the most?
Cancers and Leos spend the most money on online shopping, each forking out $228 per week. Gemini ($203) and Scorpio ($201) come in a close third and fourth place.
Meanwhile Aquarius is a bit more frugal when it comes to scrolling the sales, spending $145 per week on average.
Who are the crypto fiends?
The bold and confident Leo has great ambition, which might explain why they are the most likely zodiac sign to own cryptocurrency. More than a quarter of Leos (28%) own cryptocurrency, with 19% owning Bitcoin.
Cancer (26%) and Taurus (24%) are also big on cryptocurrency. Despite their adventurous and explorative nature, Sagittarius are the least likely to own cryptocurrency (12%).
Which star sign invests the most?
Leos take the cake when it comes to cryptocurrency, but they are also dominating the stock market. On average, Leos have $22,407 invested in shares, with Taurus coming in second place ($19,436).
On the other hand, Virgos have just $4,320 in shares. Perhaps their perfectionist nature could be holding them back?
Other stats about the star signs
- Aries are the most likely to be married (73%) and have children (39%).
- Geminis are the most likely to own a pet cat (42%), while Libras (53%) are the number one dog owners.
- More Leos than any other star sign live in cities (76%), while Scorpios are the most likely to live regionally (42%).
- Geminis are the most likely to be concerned about their carbon footprint (83%).
