Hungry for more data? Vodafone's latest bonus data offers on its SIM only plans could sort you out.

Vodafone is giving away double the data across all 3 of its SIM Only plans for the same price to new customers.

The offer will last for as long as you stay on the plan, which is a pretty sweet deal.

Here's what you'll get:

If you want to take advantage of getting bonus data you'll need to act quickly, as the offer ends on 4 September 2023.

How good is Vodafone's double data offer?

Given the bonus data offer lasts for the lifetime of your plan, it's a solid deal. Plus, the plans stacks up well against our $1 per GB benchmark.

Similar offers from other providers only tend to last for a few months at most.

Signing up with Vodafone's SIM only plans will also give you:

  • Access to its 5G network if it's available in your area
  • Endless data. Once you've run through your data allowance your speeds will be capped at 2Mbps until your next billing cycle. This means you can avoid a bill shock
  • Unlimited international texts and unlimited minutes to zone 1 countries plus 300 minutes to zone 2 countries on the Medium plan and above
  • $5 per day roaming add-on. This allows you to use your plan overseas in 100+ countries

If you're looking to get a phone on a plan, Vodafone also tends to be the cheaper option compared to Optus and Telstra as its SIM only plans cost lower.

Compare iPhone and Samsung phone plans if you want to upgrade your tech and get more bang for buck with discounts or bonus offers.

Is it worth taking advantage of Vodafone's offer?

This will largely depend on how much data you're after.

According to a 2021-22 report by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, the average Aussie uses only 10.2GB per month.

However, if you're someone that's constantly using their phone for streaming, gaming and more, you could benefit from a higher data plan.

You can use our mobile data usage calculator to see how much data you need before signing up to any of Vodafone's SIM only plans.

Lastly, you'll need to decide if Vodafone's coverage works for you - it may not be the best option for those in rural or regional Australia where its network can be lacking.

Are there any other high data plans worth considering?
