Key takeaways

  • Switch to an eligible AGL electricity and/or gas plan through Finder.
  • Have your eligible energy plan connected by 7 August 2026.
  • You'll be eligible to receive a Visa gift card from Finder worth up to $200.

If you've been putting off comparing your energy bill, this could be the incentive you've been waiting for.

Finder is offering eligible Aussies up to $200 (in a digital Visa gift card) when you switch to an eligible AGL electricity and/or gas plan.

Here's how it works:

  • Switch your electricity and receive a $150 Finder Visa gift card
  • Switch your gas and receive a $50 Finder Visa gift card
  • Switch both and you could pocket up to $200 Finder Visa gift card

With sky-rocketing energy bills taking a decent chunk out of household budgets, plenty of people are looking for ways to save.

And while a gift card is a nice bonus, the bigger win is making sure you're not paying more than you need to each month.

Reviewed your energy bill recently?

If it's been a while since you last compared energy plans, there's a good chance you'll be able to find a better deal.

Even small savings on your monthly bill can add up over a year, and a switching bonus is a nice cherry on top.

>> 3 hours of free electricity every day: Are you eligible?

Just make sure you check the rates and fees against your current plan.

It's a good idea to check:

  • The kWh rate: it can be anything from 0.20c to 0.60c per kWh
  • The daily supply charge: covers the maintenance of poles, wires and pipes, is usually around $1/day, though can be as high as $1.50+.
  • The solar feed-in tariff: this is how much you get paid for any extra energy your solar panels produce. They're less generous now than they were in the past, and generally range from 0.03c to 0.10c per kWh
