Qantas launches Status Credits booster: How to fast track your status

You'll get extra Status Credits when you earn 1,000 Qantas Points across 8 different categories. Hitting them all gets you 110 credits.

If you're a status-chasing Qantas frequent flyer there's a new deal that could help you jump into the silver or gold tier faster.

You can register for this special offer by 31 October that gives you extra Status Credits when you spend enough to earn 1,000 Qantas Points in different categories.

There are 8 spending categories, with most offering a bonus 20 status credits (some offer 10). If you hit 1,000 points in every spending category by 31 December 2025 you could earn a total of 110 Status Credits.

Here's how it works:

  1. Register for the offer here (make sure you have a Qantas frequent flyer membership).
  2. Spend enough to earn 1,000 Qantas Points in 8 different categories. Categories include cards and banking, insurance, utilities and services (20 status credits each), or hotels and travel, fuel and cars, food and wine, shopping and health and leisure (10 status credits each).
  3. You have until 31 December 2025 to unlock these status credits.

Now, most people aren't likely to hit every single category by the end of the year. It's unlikely you'd take out a Qantas home loan, a Qantas car insurance policy, book a trip via Qantas Hotels and switch to a partner provider like Red Energy and so on, all in 3 months.

And 1,000 Qantas Points requires a fair bit of spending, with most Qantas Points-earning cards giving you 1 to 1.5 Qantas Points per dollar spent.

But if you're planning to spend some money in any of these categories soon and you want extra Status Credits then it's a no-brainer. Any way to earn extra Status Credits without booking flights can help you achieve your Qantas Status goals.
