Marcus Ehrlich is the CEO at Ninox Robotics, a military-grade drone company. Ninox Robotics is an Australian owned and operated company and its RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems) can be deployed to almost anywhere in Australia. In operation since July 2016, Ninox Robotics services a range of strategic industries including conservation, government, security, key national assets and resources.

The company is currently being used to help put out fires and aid farmers with livestock by delivering practical and cost-effective aerial intelligence.

Marcus tells us more about himself and his company, and how the best piece of business advice he's ever received was being vigilant with cash flow.

What was your first job?

Advisor to the Mayor of Randwick Municipal Council.

What's your proudest achievement?

Sounds a bit twee, but being a dad.

What's something that you have learned in business that took you by surprise?

How many "fires" one has to put out in a given day or week.

How do you plan on growing your business in the near future?

Deepening the relationship with our existing clients through continued quality service and harnessing our existing reputation to expand our client base.

What other business leader do you most admire and why?

(The way this question is worded it seems to presume that I admire my own business acumen, which is a bit of a presumption). But I don't really admire other business leaders.

What's the best piece of business advice you've ever received?

Watch your cash flow.

What advice would you pass on to someone starting out in your area?

Psychologically prepare yourself for years of difficulty with no guarantees!
