The Finder Green Awards have been running since 2019 to help Australians find companies and products that lead the way for environmental sustainability. With awards in the energy, insurance, banking, travel, shopping, superannuation and telecommunications industries, this is one of the broadest sustainability awards programs in Australia.
A previous winner in this category, Bank Australia stood out with an impressive suite of sustainability focused products, like their Clean Energy Home Loan, as well as low emissions overall.
Australian Ethical has again shown they're the ones to beat. Their high renewable energy use, strong environmental targets and the low emissions intensity of its portfolio all contributed to making this Australian Etthical's fourth win.
Another back-to-back winner, Brighte's high proportion of green loans makes them a strong leader in this category. With a continued focus on funding residential solar, Brighte has cemented itself as Green Lender of the Year 2023.
In a very closely contested category Energy Locals took the win for its breadth of clean energy initiatives, competitive GreenPower pricing and the availability of carbon neutral energy plans for all.
QBE has again taken the title for Green Insurer of the Year. The insurer's low operational emissions and strong targets took it to the top of the table in this category.
Following its win for Green Mobile Plan Provider of the Year, this is felix's second win of the day. felix has shown itself to have sustainability at the heart of its operations making it a deserving winner for Green Telco of the Year.
felix holds onto its title for another year, taking the win in this category. Its low emissions and 100% renewable energy usage helped secure the win. The telco also impressed with its tree planting program and focus on digital eSims.
As our winner for Green Broadband Provider of the Year, Goodtel scored well for its low emissions intensity, renewable energy use, high recycling rates and a range of maintenance targets.
A back-to-back winner in this category, Seed & Sprout has proven difficult to beat. Both our finalists scored well on low emissions and high renewable energy use but with a business model centred around sustainable living, Seed & Sprout were able to hold their win for 2023.
This is ALDI's first Finder Green Award win. As an industry with a heavy focus on sustainability, Green Supermarket of the Year is always a highly competitive category and this year was no different. ALDI's impressive use of renewable energy and strong targets around waste reduction, among other things, helped tip them to the top.
A finalist for Green Innovation of the Year in 2022, this is Blossom's first Finder Green Awards win. Blossom impressed with its approach to sustainable investing, as well as its application of negative and positive screening.
Hyundai took another win in this category, this year with the IONIQ 6. This vehicle is a pure EV with an impressive charging speed, while also minimising its environmental impact through the use of eco-friendly and sustainably sourced materials.
This is BetaShares' second win in a row for Green ETF of the Year. Betashares Global Sustainability Leaders ETF strikes an impressive balance between solid ESG screening and being a strong performing fund, making it our winner for 2023.
The Gateway Bank Green Home Loan is our first ever winner of Green Home Loan of the Year. Gateway Bank offers a product that not only boasts a range of sustainability features but also does so at a competitive rate for customers.
Corin Millais has been recognised as Green Leader of the Year for 2023 for his commitment and dedication to sustainability. As well as his leadership at Teachers Mutual Bank Limited, the judges were impressed by the far-reaching impact and connections he has made with people across the banking industry and beyond.
Madeleine Huynh stood out to the judges for her leadership on ESG strategies at Perennial Partners Better Future Team, which included Climate Active Certification for its business operations. The fact that she has also done an industry presentation on the importance of ESG analysis in investment portfolios also showed that her voice has a wider reach in this space.
felix has been recognised with the 2023 Green Team of the Year award for their collective efforts and continuing sustainability work in the telco industry. In particular, the launch of its eSIM option stood out to judges for its measured and potential reduction in plastic waste.
Smart Commercial Solar's SmartActive product has been awarded the title of Green Innovation of the Year in 2023 for its ability to reduce inefficiencies in commercial solar systems. The judges recognise that commercial operations typically have much higher energy output than residential operations, so this innovation could have a significant impact on solar costs, usage and concerns across Australia.

These include but are not limited to greenhouse gas emissions, renewable energy usage and waste avoiding landfill.
