What are the cheapest iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max plans in Australia?
The cheapest way to get an iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max is to sign up with Vodafone over 36 months.
While handset repayments are similar across all 3 major telcos (unless any of them are running a discount), Vodafone's SIM plan works out to be the cheapest, making it the cheapest plan to get.
You also have the option to sign up to a 12- or 24-month repayment period but your monthly cost will be higher than signing up to its 36-month repayment.
The one thing to keep in mind is Vodafone's coverage can be spotty in rural and regional areas so make sure it's the right option for you before you commit.
How do I choose the best iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max plan?
There's no singular best option for everyone but when you're searching for an iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max plan, keep the following in mind:
Price and contract length
Consider how much it'll cost to pair your iPhone 14 model of choice with a mobile plan from either Telstra, Optus and Vodafone. Look for any discounts that the telcos might be slinging when you're doing your research.
Deals, deals, deals
Choose a provider that offers you the most benefit. Is the amount of data you're getting enough for how much you'll end up paying? Think about other perks as well. For example, Optus gives you the option to subscribe to Optus Sport for cheaper. Vodafone's $5 roaming add-on is a solid option for frequent travellers. Telstra offers the best network coverage out of the lot.
Choosing the right coverage
You can choose to pay off the cost of your phone over 12, 24 or 36 months. Paying it off earlier means you are free to switch to a cheaper mobile plan with another provider. However, it's always best to stick to a plan length that best fits your monthly budget.
Telstra iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max plans
There are currently no special offers across Telstra's iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max plans but signing up with the telco still gets you access to the following:
Access to Australia's largest 4G and 5G network.
Telstra Plus rewards program where you'll gain points to go towards rewards like robot vacuum cleaners, Xbox Series S and X and driving accessories.
No excess data charges on any of its plans.
Unlimited international texts to all countries and at least 30 minutes of free international calls.
Existing Telstra customers can also purchase either of the models outright.
Optus iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max plans
Optus has a few aces up its sleeve to make getting the iPhone 15 range just a little bit more exciting.
Score a Mastercard digital gift card if you have a phone in good working condition to trade in. This can be used across selected stores on The Card Network's website. For example, trading in the iPhone 14 Pro Max (512GB or 1TB) could get you a gift card worth $1,200.
Optus is slinging a discounted Optus Plus Promo Plan if you're after heaps of data for cheaper. You'll get 500GB data for just $69 a month for the first 12 months. After a year, the price will revert back to $89 a month but you would have saved $240 in total.
Optus is also offering a price match guarantee across 5G phones. If you find any of the iPhone 15 models for cheaper at another retailer and it's still in stock and not a lock-in offer, Optus will match the price.
Existing Optus customers also have the option to purchase either of the models outright.
Vodafone iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max plans
Vodafone is flaunting the cheapest iPhone 15 plans, with the following deals available:
Get $150 bonus trade-in credit when you purchase the new iPhone 15 and trade in an older phone. For example, if you traded in an iPhone 14 Pro Max 1TB in good working condition, your total trade-in value would be $1,500.
Score double the data on any of Vodafone's SIM only plans. For example, you can get 80GB for $45 a month instead of the usual 40GB. The double data offer will last as long as you stick to the plan.
On top of this, you'll also receive double data on any of Vodafone's plans.
iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max features
Apple's iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models get USB-C charging, a new titanium design that's lighter and stronger and the A17 Pro processor which is the brand's most powerful chip to date. You can expect an elongated battery life and faster performance.
You can get either of the models in natural titanium, blue titanium, white titanium or black titanium.
Camera
The iPhone 15 Pro uses a 48MP main camera, 12MP telephoto lens and up to 3x optical zoom.
Apple's focused on capturing more detail and colour from the main camera. In fact, the camera can capture depth detail meaning if it notices you have a person or animal in the shot, it can automatically change the image to portrait. This means you no longer need to specifically switch to portrait mode.
You can also work with multiple focal lengths – 24mm, 28mm, 35mm – and also have the option to any of the 3 as the default.
The primary difference between the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max cameras is that Pro Max supports 5x optical zoom which captures better image quality when you're shooting at a distance.

Important information about this website
finder.com.au is one of Australia's leading comparison websites. We are committed to our readers and stands by our editorial principles
We try to take an open and transparent approach and provide a broad-based comparison service. However, you should be aware that while we are an independently owned service, our comparison service does not include all providers or all products available in the market.
Some product issuers may provide products or offer services through multiple brands, associated companies or different labeling arrangements. This can make it difficult for consumers to compare alternatives or identify the companies behind the products. However, we aim to provide information to enable consumers to understand these issues.
We make money by featuring products on our site. Compensation received from the providers featured on our site can influence which products we write about as well as where and how products appear on our page, but the order or placement of these products does not influence our assessment or opinions of them, nor is it an endorsement or recommendation for them.
Products marked as 'Top Pick', 'Promoted' or 'Advertisement' are prominently displayed either as a result of a commercial advertising arrangement or to highlight a particular product, provider or feature. Finder may receive remuneration from the Provider if you click on the related link, purchase or enquire about the product. Finder's decision to show a 'promoted' product is neither a recommendation that the product is appropriate for you nor an indication that the product is the best in its category. We encourage you to use the tools and information we provide to compare your options.
Where our site links to particular products or displays 'Go to site' buttons, we may receive a commission, referral fee or payment when you click on those buttons or apply for a product. You can learn more about how we make money.
When products are grouped in a table or list, the order in which they are initially sorted may be influenced by a range of factors including price, fees and discounts; commercial partnerships; product features; and brand popularity. We provide tools so you can sort and filter these lists to highlight features that matter to you.
