How do I find the best iPhone 14 plan?

A lot of it will come down to price.

The cost of the iPhone 14 itself is likely to be the same unless Telstra, Optus or Vodafone are offering a discount.

However, since you need to pair your phone repayment with one of their mobile plans, that's where you'll see a price difference.

Telstra tends to be the most expensive, Optus sits in the middle, and Vodafone is usually the cheapest.

But the cheapest offer isn't always the best. Here's a quick guide to help you choose the right iPhone 14 plan.

Price and discounts

Consider the cost of pairing your iPhone 14 with a mobile plan from Telstra, Optus, or Vodafone. Keep an eye out for any discounts - sometimes they'll offer a deal on the mobile plan as well as the handset.

Choosing the right provider

Choose a provider that offers you the most benefit. Is the amount of data you're getting enough for how much you'll end up paying? Think about other perks as well. For example, Optus gives you the option to subscribe to Optus Sport for cheaper. Vodafone's $5 roaming add-on is a solid option for frequent travellers. Telstra offers the best network coverage out of the lot. This will matter if you live in a rural or remote area.

Decide on a plan length

You can pay off your phone over 12, 24, or 36 months. Paying it off sooner gives you the freedom to switch to a cheaper mobile plan with another provider. But it's usually best to pick a plan length that suits your monthly budget.
