1. American Express Velocity Platinum Card
The American Express Velocity Platinum Card has a frequent flyer Finder Score of 9.39.
With this card new customers can currently earn 100,000 bonus Velocity Points if they meet the spend criteria, plus 100 bonus Status Credits, Virgin Australia lounge passes and an annual complimentary domestic flight (this offer ends 14 October 2025).
The annual fee is a little high at $440, but the value of the benefits should more than outweigh this.

2. ANZ Frequent Flyer Black Card
The ANZ Frequent Flyer Black has a Finder Score of 9.7 this month.
This card offers a massive 130,000 bonus Qantas Points if you spend $5,000 in the first 3 months. But there's a catch: you don't get the full amount of points until you hold the card for 12 months.
There's also a $200 cashback if you meet the bonus points criteria, which should take some of the sting out of the $425 annual fee.
And the card gives you complimentary insurance, Qantas Club lounge invitations and a 24-hour concierge service.
3. Qantas American Express Ultimate
The Qantas American Express Ultimate Card has a Finder Score of 9.9.
The bonus points offer here gets you a nice 90,000 Qantas Points. You'll need to a new Amex customer spending $3,000 in the first 3 months from card approval.
And while there's a hefty $450 annual fee there's also a $450 annual travel credit. Take advantage of this and the card starts to look pretty affordable.
4. Qantas Premier Titanium
The Qantas Premier Titanium has a frequent flyer Finder Score of 9.77.
This card gives you a truly astronomical 150,000 bonus Qantas Points when you spend $5,000 in the first 90 days with the card.
Plus you get 20% bonus Status Credits on flights, which can help you reach (or stay in) those higher status tiers.
The card also has a high earn rate of 1.25 points per dollar.
The catch? The annual fee is $1,200 and you need a minimum income requirement of $200,000.
5. Virgin Australia Velocity High Flyer
The Virgin Australia Velocity High Flyer Card has a Finder Score of 9.6.
This card offers a very competitive 100,000 bonus Velocity Points when you spend $3,500 on eligible purchases for the first 2 months and hold the card for 12 months.
There's a $329 annual fee but also a $129 Virgin gift card to soften the blow. You also get 2 single-entry domestic lounge passes and complimentary travel insurance.
