A handful of Australian bank accounts now give you cash back just for using your debit card, letting you earn money when you tap your card or pay your bills.
Some even offers frequent flyer points, which also have a cash value. Here are the top offers on the market for September 2026.
1. St.George Complete Freedom Account

2. Westpac Choice
Westpac Choice has a very similar $50 cashback offer. Just open a Westpac Choice account together with a Westpac savings account within 15 days of each other, spend $50 on your linked debit card, and you'll receive $50 cashback.
This offer also ends on 30 September. But keep in mind that this account does have a $5 monthly fee (although it's waived if you deposit $2,000 in the account each month).
And you can't have held a Westpac transaction or savings account in the last 2 years.
3. Australian Military Bank Military Rewards Account
Australian Military Bank's Military Rewards Account has a 1% spending cashback that's potentially very lucrative.
You can get 1% back on your spending, capped at $25 a month, and only on tap-and-go purchases under $100.
This could get you up to $300 a year. But you'll also need to deposit $2,000 a month to get the cashback.
4. ING Orange Everyday Account
The ING Orange Everyday Account has a fairly unique 1% utility cashback. Basically, you get 1% on all your electricity, gas and water bills, provided you're with participating providers and you use your transaction account for the bills (BPAY or direct debit but not using the account's debit card).
This is capped at $100 a year. Just keep in mind that you would have to spend $10,000 on utilities in a year to get $100 back. Most people aren't going to have bills that high.
5. AMP Bank GO Everyday Account
The AMP Bank GO Everyday Account gives you Qantas Points based on your average monthly balance. You get 1 Qantas Point for every $10.
On top of this, there's a 25% cashback on Uber and Uber Eats spending (up to $100 total) for new customers when you use your linked debit card. This offer ends on 30 September 2026.
