Several banks in Australia offer small cashbacks on their transaction accounts. Some of these are a percentage back on your spending, with an annual or monthly cap, or a flat dollar amount.

Here are August's top bank account cashback offers.

1. ING Orange Everyday Account - 1% utility cashback

The ING Orange Everyday Account gives you 1% cashback on your utility bill payments. This is capped at a total of $100 a year.

2. Westpac Choice - $50 cashback

The Westpac Choice account has a similar $50 cashback to the Complete Freedom accounts.

Once again you need to open a Westpac savings account and transaction account within 15 days of each other and spend $50 using the linked debit card.

3. St.George Complete Freedom Account - $50 cashback

With the Complete Freedom Account you can get up to $50 cashback when you open a savings account and a transaction account before 30 September 2026 when you spend $50 within fifteen days of opening the account.

This offer applies to Bank of Melbourne and BankSA's Complete Freedom accounts too.

4. Australian Military Bank Rewards Account

The Australian Military Bank Military Rewards Account gives you a 1% cashback on Visa payWave purchases under $100. This is capped at $25 a month, and you'll also need to deposit at least $2,000 each month.

5. AMP Bank GO Everyday Account

While there's no cashback here, the AMP Bank GO Everyday Account gives you 1 Qantas Point for every $10 on your average monthly balance. You just need to link the bank account to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account.
