My key tip when picking a new mobile plan? Remember, you probably don't need as much data as you think.
The average Australian only uses 12.8GB a month.
Chances are if you're paying for 40GB a month, you're paying for data you'll never actually use.
As I point out in the clip, I'm a massive geek and think of myself as using a lot of data, but my own monthly usage is only just above that figue.
The other key tip? Don't just stick with the big brands.
Many of the best deals come from other providers. They're running on the same networks, but you will typically pay much less than the average $53 a month Australians pay for their mobile plan.
