Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: Price, specs & availability in Australia

Samsung's slimmest phone in the S Series has finally been unveiled, and while it's light in hand, it's kind of heavy on the price.
Samsung's latest addition to the S25 series takes a more design-led approach, featuring an ultra-slim 5.8mm profile that weighs the same as a bag of potato crisps.
Despite its size, it doesn't skimp on durability, performance, great cameras or AI smarts.
The titanium frame and new Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 aim to boost toughness, while under the hood, it still carries the premium specs seen across the S25 range.
It features a 200-megapixel wide lens up front, and the 12-megapixel ultra-wide comes with autofocus, making it easier to snap sharp, detailed macro shots while giving you more room to get creative.
But more on the specs and my first thoughts in just a sec. Let's chat prices and availability first!
S25 Edge price in Australia
The latest Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will cost:
- $1,849 for 256GB
- $2,049 for 512GB
You can get it in titanium jetblack, titanium silver or titanium icy blue.
We'd always expected the starting price of the Galaxy S25 Edge to sit somewhere between $1,399 (S25) and $2,749 (S25 Ultra).
That said, you're still paying top-tier prices, and the S25 Edge is no exception.
It's, in fact, the second-most expensive phone in the range.
S25 Edge availability in Australia
Pre-orders for the S25 Edge have kicked off and will close on 29 May, after which the phone will officially go on sale (30 May).

According to Samsung, our relationship with smartphones has evolved, with an emphasis on thinner, lighter, and more powerful devices.
Samsung's hoping this one grabs the attention of people who weren't exactly wowed by the S25 launch at the start of the year.
Think S25 Plus users, folks jumping ship from other brands, or anyone after something a bit different, like Galaxy Z Flip fans.
It might also be aimed at a younger crowd, with a stronger female following in mind - more style, less specs overload.
S25 Edge: First impressions
I only got to play around with the S25 Edge for an hour, so my initial verdict is predominantly design-based.
The phone feels super nice in the hand and looks very sleek, and there's definitely a sizeable difference between it and other S25 series.
As someone who's been complaining about their wrists forever and ever, it actually felt really nice to hold - even with the 6.7-inch screen.
If price weren't a barrier, I'd consider getting it, as I'm the type of smartphone user who needs a good camera (the S25 Edge also features Nightography), a good-looking phone, fast performance for everyday tasks like streaming Netflix and Spotify, and a battery that lasts through the day.
Plus, it doesn't hurt to have AI features such as audio eraser, drawing assist, other AI-powered editing features for your photos and more that'll come across from the other S25 series.
I suppose the main caveat (aside from the price) is that it has the smallest battery in the S25 lineup.
I haven't tested it myself yet, but if it lasts a full day as Samsung claims, it should be fine. I'm not glued to my phone 24/7 - thankfully!
