UPDATE 13 May 2025: The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge has officially launched. Read all about it here.

Samsung's super slim Galaxy S25 Edge will launch early next week, and yep, it's definitely coming to Australia.

Samsung teased a new thin phone at the start of the year when it unveiled its Galaxy S25 Series lineup.

Now, after months of waiting, the highly anticipated Galaxy S25 Edge launch is just days away.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge release date in Australia

You can now put in a calendar reminder for May 13, 10am AEDT and tune in on Samsung's YouTube channel to watch the live stream.

We'll also be updating all the details on Finder in real time, so you can sit back with your coffee and catch up on specs, pricing, pre-orders and everything else that matters.

There's likely to be a pre-order period, which we expect to kick off the same day, based on the timing of past launches.

The Galaxy S25 launched at $1,399, with the price climbing to $2,749 for the S25 Ultra. The Galaxy S25 Edge will likely land somewhere in between.

Galaxy S25 Edge teasers

Here's a teaser from Samsung about what we can expect:

"As the newest edition to the Galaxy S25 series, the Galaxy S25 Edge embodies the ultimate camera experience and takes it one step further with mobile AI that empowers users to reach new creative realms in every aspect of mobile photography, from capturing to editing and sharing," it said in its media release.

Even with its slim form, the Galaxy S25 Edge's 200MP wide lens continues Galaxy's iconic camera experience, delivering pro-grade capabilities to intuitively capture the world around you. And thanks to Galaxy AI, the camera transforms into a smart lens that helps recognise what matters to create new memories.

It has also confirmed the durability of the S25 Edge, sharing that it'll debut with the new Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2.

Corning's original Gorilla Glass Ceramic withstood 10 drops from one metre onto asphalt-like surfaces. If version 2 is tougher, the S25 Edge should handle everyday drops even better than past Galaxy models.

That's it for now! Head back to Finder on 13 May for a full debrief on everything related to the S25 Edge.

It's shaping up to be an interesting launch, especially with rumours that Apple will release its own slim phone in September - the iPhone 17 Air.
