Pick up the latest Samsung handset from Optus and save up to $800.

Samsung has just launched this year's update to the Samsung Galaxy line.

The S23 series of phones are now available with a mobile plan from Optus.

Luckily, in addition to all the goods you get on an Optus plan, it has heavily discounted the price of all Samsung S23 phones when you pair them with a 24- or 36-month plan. There's up to $800 off available on the S23 Ultra, which is pretty impressive.

Take a look at all the Samsung Galaxy S23 plans on offer from Optus. These prices are based on the Optus Small Choice Plus plan.

Optus Samsung Galaxy S23 plans start at $86.46 a month

The entry-level phone in the range is available in 2 storage variants.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 costs $1,348.56 for the 128GB and $1,448.64 for the 256GB model. If you're interested in the 256GB S23, Optus is chopping $100 off the RRP to sweeten the deal.

When you pair the Galaxy S23 with Optus's Small Choice Plus plan at $49 a month for 30GB, here's what the monthly cost will look like over 12-, 24- and 36-month repayment periods.

What's the catch with this Optus deal?

The discount works via a pay-on-time method. That means you don't get the full discount when you first sign up. It'll add up to the total discounted amount over your chosen repayment period.

So for as long as you're signed up to either the 24- or 36-month plan, you'll receive a monthly discount. If you cancel or move to an ineligible plan, you'll need to pay out the remaining cost of the plan.

Why should I get a Samsung S23 on an Optus mobile plan?

Optus is 1 of the big 3 telcos in Australia that's able to offer a lot of value, with its plans heavily focused on entertainment.

With each Optus mobile plan, you get:

  • Access to the Optus 4G/5G network. Its 4G network is the second-largest, covering 98.5% of Australians.
  • Unlimited standard national calls and texts.
  • Endless data with no excess data charges. Slowed to 1.5Mbps after you've used your limit for full-speed data.
  • Optional unlimited data day add-on. For $5, unlock 24 hours of unlimited data that won't go towards your full-speed data limit.
  • Access to Optus SubHub. Bundle 3 or more eligible subscriptions to save up to 10%.
  • Catch the Premier League on Optus Sport for less. Pay just $6.99 a month. Subscription is normally $24.99 for non-Optus customers.

When do Optus's pre-order deals expire?

The Samsung Galaxy S23 is available to pre-order from Optus now. All discount offers end on 16 February 2023, with the official sale of the phone occuring the next day.
