Google Pixel 10 release date in Australia + all the juicy rumours
Another highly anticipated phone launch is just hours away. Here's everything we know so far about Google's Pixel 10 series.
We've barely had time to recover from the launch of the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, and now another round of shiny new Android devices is about to hit the scene in just a few hours.
When is the Google Pixel 10 series launching in Australia?
The tech giant's Made by Google event is on 21 August 2025 at 3am AEST.
This is a week later than last year, but still in August at least.
We're expecting Google to announce the Pixel 10 along with Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. There may also be new Pixel Buds thrown in the mix.
And yep, it's another ridiculous time for us Aussies, but if you're excited and planning to be a night owl, I'll be going live with the updates on Finder in real time.

You can also live stream the event on Google's official YouTube channel.
Based on previous Pixel phone launches, we expect pre-orders to go live the same day from Google, as well as retailers like Telstra, Optus, Vodafone and Amazon.
The phones should then officially be on sale about a week later, on 28 August.
How much will the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold cost in Australia?
According to rumours, including a report from Tech Advisor, the Pixel 10 lineup is expected to be priced similarly to its predecessor.
Here's a look at last year's pricing, which saw a $150 to $200 increase compared to the year before.

While this might sound like good news, it could suggest that after last year's major design overhaul and another release of AI features, this year's changes may be more evolutionary than revolutionary.
With that in mind, let's jump into all the other rumours surrounding specs, features and colours.
Oh, and if you weren't keen on the Pixel family last year, here's a reminder that the Pixel 9 Pro XL is just a bigger version of the Pixel 9 Pro.
The Pixel 9 Pro was introduced for the first time to offer pro-level performance but in a smaller form factor.
Google Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro Fold rumours and leaks
Here's a list of all the things we can expect according to the online rumour mill:
- According to a report from Mashable, the design across the lineup will largely be the same as last year. However, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is expected to have a slightly bigger cover screen (6.3 inches to 6.4 inches) and a larger battery (5,015mAh vs 4,650mAh). The size of the cover display is down to Google reducing the size of the bezel and hinge rather than making the phone bigger.
- Android Headlines recently dropped an exclusive with the full spec list for the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. According to the report, it's expected to come with IP68 dust and water resistance, which will improve its durability. This will make it the first fold with an IP68 rating - both the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Motorola Razr Ultra have an IP48 rating.
- The same report also claims the screen will be 10% brighter. The cameras will largely remain the same.
- The full lineup is expected to run on Google's latest Tensor G5 processor. Based on benchmark leaks, it's shaping up to be a big improvement over the Tensor G4, with performance gains likely to boost AI tasks, gaming and more.
- The Pixel 10 lineup also seems to have some fun code names, according to a report from Android Authority: Frankel for Pixel 10, Blazer for Pixel 10 Pro, Mustang for Pixel 10 Pro XL and Rango for Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
- The same report claims the Pixel 10 base model will have a triple camera setup for the very first time. The base model will be available in Obsidian (black), Indigo (purple), Lemongrass (yellow), and Frost (blue). The Pro and Pro XL models will come in Obsidian, Jade (green), Moonstone (gray), and Porcelain (white). Finally, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will be offered in two colours: Jade and Moonstone.
