Finder reveals the best of the best in its 2026 Provider of the Year Awards
To help Australians make better financial decisions, Finder has revealed the winners of its Provider of the Year Awards 2026.
From Budget Direct to American Express, the awards showcase the providers and brands who offer top-rated products and have the most satisfied customers.
Graham Cooke, head of consumer research at Finder, said Finder's Provider of the Year Awards recognise the best of the best.
"For our flagship Provider of the Year Awards, we analysed both product and consumer survey data to reveal the brands that deliver both a stellar product and a great customer service experience.
"Finder crowns only one winner in each category, ensuring the winners are truly the créme de la créme in their respective fields."
Budget Direct won the most Provider of the Year Awards, logging a staggering 5 gongs, including: insurance products overall (insurer of the year), pet insurance, as well as car insurance in New South Wales, South Australia and Western Australia.
Youi was the next most awarded provider and was crowned the national car insurer of the year and the best pick for car insurance in Queensland and Victoria.
AAMI, Medibank, ahm and Southern Cross Travel Insurance were recognised as the elite across home, life, health and travel insurance respectively.
For the second year running, American Express was named the provider of the year for rewards credit cards, while ANZ was selected as the best choice for credit cards overall.
Macquarie Bank was the top pick for mortgages as well as for investor home loans.
ING took the final top spot for owner-occupier home loans.
ING didn't just excel in home loans – it was also recognised as the best choice for banking products overall, which covers transactions, savings, deposits and mortgages, credit cards and more.
Bank of Queensland was the other winner in banking, taking out the award for deposit products.
ALDI Mobile was selected as the best provider for mobile phone plans.
Cooke said the start of the new year is a great time to see if you can get a better deal on your finances.
"The award winners are a smart place to start – a few simple switches could put hundreds of dollars back in your pocket, without compromising on quality service."
Finder's flagship Provider of the Year Awards are weighted 50% on product data and 50% on customer satisfaction data, making them a true reflection of excellence across both product strength and customer experience.
