EOFY 2025 is just around the corner, and with it is a mouth-watering array of phone deals for shoppers to choose from.

Phones from Apple, Samsung, Google and more are currently selling at vastly reduced prices.

Scroll down to see the very best EOFY phone deals available right now.

Optus EOFY phone deals

Optus is shaving up to $999 off smartphones when you stay connected to a repayment plan for 24 or 36 months.

You can also score cheap wearables when you purchase a new handset.

For our money, the best deal is the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE - it's down to $15.26 a month over 36 months, which is half Optus' usual asking price.

The Google Pixel 7 Pro deal is also worth a look with $999 knocked off the original asking price. While it's a few years old, it remains an extremely capable handset.

Budget shoppers should snap up the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G - available for an absurdly low $36.

Finally, if you're in the market for a new iPhone and Apple Watch, you can get the latter for just $99 (RRP: $808) when you buy an iPhone 16 Pro and stay connected over 36 months on an eligible plan.

You have until 30 June 2025 to take advantage of the offers listed in the table.

What to consider when shopping for EOFY mobile phone deals

iOS or Android?

You've probably already made up your mind on which side of the Android/iOS fence you sit, but it's still worth considering both as you shop for a EOFY phone deal.

The closed ecosystem of iOS typically offers a slicker and more stable experience, whereas Android opens up a wealth of customisation options for those who prefer greater control over their phone's behaviour.

Moreso than in years past, Android and iOS have converged on a relatively similar look and feel. Switching from one to the other is no longer quite so jarring, and there are even some Android phones that take liberal cues from iOS to deliver an iPhone-like experience on Android.

New or refurbished?

It is becoming increasingly common for retailers to sell "refurbished" handsets during sales periods. This is a previously used device that has been returned to the manufacturer or network provider and restored to full functionality.

They are usually sold as new but may be missing the original packaging. A refurbished phone is a smart way to save but don't pay any attention to the purported discount - most stores cite the RRP for a brand new phone, which is irrelevant on used products.

Software support

A lot of older phones go on sale during EOFY, and while they're often plenty powerful enough, their age can impact their practical lifespan going forward.

This is because smartphone manufacturers tend to drop support for handsets after a few years, ceasing to provide updates to the latest versions of Android (or simply omitting older handsets in the case of the iPhone).

Not only does this mean potentially missing out on new features, it can also lead to incompatibility with newer apps and services.

To ensure you don't end up locked out of your favourite apps, it's worth researching how long different smartphone manufacturers support their handsets post-release. Google is very good in this regard, with up to 7 years of guaranteed security and OS updates.
