Yep, you read that right - Black Friday deals aren't just for shopping. They're being extended to your energy plan, too, thanks to ENGIE (formerly Simply Energy)!
Worried about your summer energy bill? Don't stress.
The best way to avoid a shock is to make sure you're on a great deal. Throw in a bonus sign-up offer, and you're all set!
ENGIE's Black Friday energy deal
ENGIE is running a Black Friday energy offer until 10 December 2024, where you can save up to $500 on your energy bills.
New customers in NSW, VIC or SA will receive $250 in welcome credit for electricity and another $250 for gas.
QLD electricity customers are eligible for a $250 credit.
Am I eligible for this Black Friday energy deal?
Availability can vary based on your postcode which you can pop into ENGIE's website.
It'll tell you exactly which plans you can sign up for and how much welcome credit you can receive.
You will also be able to get an annual estimate for your costs as these can vary based on your address.
Is it worth signing up to ENGIE?
As with any energy plan, you should stack up ENGIE's offer against what you're currently paying to see if it's actually a great deal.
This goes beyond the welcome credit. Have a look at the usage rate and supply charges as well.
A supply charge is the daily fee for connecting to the energy network, while a usage rate is the cost per unit of energy you consume.
But beyond the price, ENGIE's got a bunch of handy perks such as:
- An app to help you track your energy usage and manage your plan.
- ENGIE often partners with other organisations to offer further discounts or perks. For example, it gives existing NRMA members in NSW additional discounts or VIC customers movie perks.
- ENGIE won't lock you into a contract.
