Bosch, Dyson or Shark: find out which stick vacuum owners love most?

Stick vacuum owners are a loyal bunch and Finder's 2026 Customer Satisfaction Awards put that loyalty to the test. We asked real stick vacuum owners across Australia to rate their machine on how much they love it, how reliable it is, how it performs, and whether it's worth the money. Bosch swept the board this year, winning all five award categories.
Bosch won every single category

Owners rated it the Most Loved stick vacuum, a category that comes down to everyday satisfaction and usually points to who'll buy the same brand again. It also topped Top Value, which isn't just about the cheapest price tag but whether owners feel they got their money's worth, and Most Reliable, which matters most once the excitement of a new machine has worn off.
Bosch took out Top Performance too, the category most directly tied to suction and consistency, and a tough one to win given how quickly a stick vacuum can lose power as its battery ages or its bin fills up. It rounded out its sweep with Most Recommended, perhaps the hardest category of all to win, since people are putting their own reputation on the line when they vouch for a brand.
Dyson was highly commended in every category

Dyson picked up five Highly Commended results this year, for Loved Brand, Value, Reliable, Great Performance and Recommended Brand, all sitting just behind winner Bosch. It's a solid showing for the brand best known for pioneering cordless stick vacuum technology in the first place.
Shark matched Dyson's highly commended sweep

Shark rounded out the field with five Highly Commended results of its own, across the same five measures. That consistency, without ever quite catching Bosch or Dyson, marks it out as a reliable third option for owners weighing up their next machine.

How we rank the best stick vacuums
Finder's Customer Satisfaction Awards are based on real feedback from Australian consumers, not marketing spin. As part of a broader survey of more than 60,000 Australians about their recent purchases and brand experiences, we asked stick vacuum owners to rate the brand they use on how much they love it, how reliable it is, and how it performs for the price.
Respondents could only vote on brands they've actually purchased and used. Each brand's score out of 5 is the average rating it received across these measures, with the highest-scoring brand in a category named the Winner and the next-highest scorers named Highly Commended.
