To help Australians make better financial decisions while enjoying the perks of credit cards, Finder has revealed the winners of its Credit Card Awards 2026.

From American Express to ANZ, the awards showcase the best credit cards across a variety of categories, including frequent flyer, rewards, balance transfer, and more.

Graham Cooke, head of consumer research at Finder, said the awards are designed to showcase which credit cards are delivering genuine, long-term value to customers.

"We've done the heavy lifting so you don't have to. We analysed 247 cards from 73 banks and brands to determine the best of the best.

"Whether you're a points chaser or looking to crush your debt, the award winners are a great place to start."

ANZ won the most awards, including the best balance transfer with its Low Rate card, rewards credit card with its Rewards Black Credit Card, and Qantas frequent flyer card with its Frequent Flyer Black.

American Express and NAB each claimed three wins.

American Express won the top spot for the best velocity frequent flyer credit card with its Velocity Platinum Card, and business frequent flyer charge card with its Qantas Business Rewards Card.

NAB dominated for business cards, winning best low rate business charge card, business frequent flyer credit card and small business rewards credit card.

Kogan Money took out the top prize in two categories this year, including best no annual fee credit card and no annual fee rewards credit card, underscoring its success in offering competitive fee-free options to Aussies.

For the 8th year in a row, Bankwest won the travel credit card category with its Breeze Platinum Mastercard. It also claimed the title for best no FX fees credit card for the same card, cementing its leadership in the travel money space.

Cooke said across the product awards categories only Bankwest's Breeze Platinum Mastercard won twice.

"What this shows is that credit cards are very much created for specific customer types, and you need to make sure you have the right product for your specific needs.

"We've analysed thousands of data points across interest rates, fees and features.

"Our methodology ensures that winners aren't just relying on short-term promo offers – we award products and brands that are consistently strong performers," Cooke said.

ANZ won the overall Provider of the Year award for credit cards, while American Express was awarded Provider of the Year for rewards credit cards.

The Provider of the Year awards are based 50% on product data and 50% on customer satisfaction surveys, revealing true excellence at both levels.

The remaining gold awards were claimed by G&C Mutual Bank, ANNA Money, St, George, BankSA and Bank of Melbourne.
