What's the offer?
We're giving eligible customers a $500 digital Visa card when they switch their health insurance (hospital + extras) to HBF through Finder's comparison service.
Who is eligible for the $500 reward?
To be eligible, you must:
- Be an Australian resident aged 18 or over
- Be a Finder member or create a Finder member account if you are not already a Finder member.
- Be a new HBF customer or not have held an HBF policy in the last 12 months (excluding dependants coming off a family policy)
- Switch to one of the eligible hospital + extras cover combinations listed on Finder
- Complete a quote through Finder, then sign up and start your cover via the HBF site between 15–19 May 2025
- Pay premiums monthly or fortnightly via direct debit
- Ensure your payments are up to date by the eligibility check on 14 July 2025 and your policy is active until the Reward is fulfilled on or around 31 August 2025

- You pay premiums quarterly, half-yearly or annually
- Your name and email don't match exactly between your Finder quote and HBF purchase
- You're not a Finder member
- You're an HBF employee or family member using a staff discount
- You sign up before 15 May or after 6.00pm 19 May 2025
- You're not a Finder member
How and when will I get the $500 reward?
If you're eligible, here's what happens next:
- Eligibility check happens by 14 July 2025
- Visa card sent by 31 August 2025
- Activate your Visa card by 30 November 2025
The card will come via email from our fulfillment partner, Blackhawk Network.
Make sure your payments are up to date and your policy is still active when we check.
When does the $500 Visa card expire?
Once you activate your digital Visa card, it will remain valid for 3 years from the date of activation.
You'll receive instructions on how to activate your card when it's sent to you. Just make sure to activate it by 30 November 2025 - that's 3 months after the issue date - so you can start using it before it expires.
Can I add the $500 Visa card to Apple Pay or Google Pay?
Yes, you can. Once you receive your digital Visa card, you'll be able to add it to Apple Pay or Google Pay and use it just like you would any other card in your digital wallet.
You'll get setup instructions when the card is sent to you.
What if I entered my details incorrectly?
To qualify for the reward, your first name, last name and email address must match exactly between your Finder quote and your HBF purchase. If anything doesn't match, your reward may not be issued - so double-check your details before completing the switch.
Can I claim this offer if I've used another HBF promotion?
No - you can't combine this reward with any other HBF promotion, corporate discount or offer (except for the direct debit discount). If you've redeemed an HBF promotional or save offer in the last 12 months, you won't be eligible.
Who do I contact if I haven't received my reward?
If it's after 31 August 2025 and you still haven't received your digital Visa card, check your spam folder first. If it's not there, contact Finder's customer service team with the email you used to sign up.
