Hostplus Balanced was the top-performing balanced super fund for the year (ending 30 June 2022). The fund delivered a positive return of 1.57% for the year while the majority of balanced and growth funds delivered a negative return, due to steep falls in global markets.
More importantly, the fund has a history of strong long-term performance returning 9.74% p.a. For members over the past 10 years.

AustralianSuper High Growth has around 90% allocation to growth assets including local and international shares, and is designed to achieve better long-term returns compared to the default Balanced option.
The fund has returned an impressive 10.29% p.a. for members over the past 10 years, and 8.01% p.a. over the past 5 years.

Our team of expert analysts use an objective rating system to determine our award winners.
- All fund data is supplied to Finder by leading super research firm Chant West
- Funds which were closed or private funds were excluded
- Funds which were only available through a certain employer were excluded
- All investment returns data was for the performance period ending June 2022
- All fee data was correct at the time of our analysis in November 2022
- We only included diversified funds - all single asset class funds were excluded
