Why I’d suggest half-price Woolworths Everyday Extra for everyone

This Orange Friday discount is absolutely worth it if you regularly shop at Woolies.
As part of its so-called Orange Friday sale, Woolworths is promoting a half-price deal for Everyday Extra, its membership subscription service that offers discounts and bonus Everyday Rewards points.
Normally a yearly membership to Everyday Extra costs $70.
Until 20 December 2023, new customers of the service can sign up for $35 a year.
I'm a huge fan of Everyday Extra. If you shop at Woolworths, it can very quickly pay for itself and start saving you money, even before you consider all the extra value you can get from those Everyday Rewards points.
Check out my full review for all the details of what you get from Everyday Extra.
But the key point is this: at $35 a year, it really can start saving you money fast on your regular supermarket shop.
The average Australian household spends $189 a week on groceries, Finder research shows.
Everyday Extra members get 10% off the value of one shop a month (capped at a maximum of $50 off for that shop).
So after 2 months, the average shopper would have saved $37.80 - more than the cost of the membership at this discounted price.
Every subsequently monthly discount represents a direct saving.
If you are a Woolworths shopper, I'd call that a no-brainer.
Woolworths is also discounting its Delivery Unlimited membership this week, cut it from $119 to $59.95.
Whether that's as appealing will depend on how often you need deliveries, but I'll be doing a detailed analysis on that later this week.
