If the name doesn't ring a bell, HONOR is a Chinese smartphone brand that split from Huawei in 2020.

It arrived in Australia in November 2025, when HONOR released the Magic V5 foldable and the HONOR 400 Pro.

HONOR X9d 5G price, specs and availability

The Honor X9d costs $699, offers 256GB storage and comes in Midnight Black, Reddish Brown and Sunrise Gold.

You can pre-order it from JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman or The Good Guys.

When you buy it by 13 May, you'll get a free Honor Watch 2 Pro (worth $299) via Honor's redemption site.

The phone's headline feature is a massive 8,300mAh battery that Honor claims can last up to 3 days.

The brand's test data shows it can stand up to 52.5 hours of music streaming, 23.8 hours of online video playback, 16.8 hours of gaming and 12.3 hours of video chat on a single charge.

The Honor X9d is also built with durability in mind, carrying an IP69K rating.

That means it's designed to withstand high-pressure water jets, exposure to hot water, and drops of up to 2.5 metres in controlled testing.

On the camera side, the system is headlined by a 108MP main lens.

The 6.79-inch OLED display reaches a peak brightness of 6,000 nits for outdoor use. And lastly, it's powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chip and comes with 12GB of RAM.

Good to know: If you want something much cheaper, you can also buy the Honor X6d for $299 in Ocean Cyan or Midnight Black from Harvey Norman or JB Hi-Fi.

HONOR Magic 8 Pro price, specs and availability

This is Honor's big push into the flagship phone space.

The Magic 8 Pro costs $1,999, offers 512GB of storage and comes in 3 colours: Midnight Black, Sunrise Gold and Sky Cyan.

Pre-orders are once again available from JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman or The Good Guys.

And when you buy it by 13 May, you'll get a free Honor Watch 4 Pro (worth $499).

Now on to some of the highlights of the phone itself.

It features a 200MP Ultra Night camera, a 50MP Ultra Night main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide camera.

You also get an AI Adaptive Stabilisation Model, which Honor claims is "7 times more likely to produce sharp zoomed images even without a tripod or gimbal".

The Magic 8 Pro is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, with a 7,100mAh battery that supports 100W wired and 80W wireless fast charging.
