Key takeaways

  • Mozo is a trusted Australian financial comparison leader with 17+ years of experience.
  • This deal grows Finder's footprint across all major banking and insurance sectors.
  • Finder will use its data and product expertise to enhance value for Mozo's audience.

Finder announced it has acquired Mozo, one of Australia's longest-running and most respected financial comparison platforms.

Founded in 2008, Mozo has spent more than 17 years helping Australians compare and save across home loans, credit cards, savings accounts, term deposits, personal loans, bank accounts, utilities and insurance.

The acquisition is part of Finder's strategy to deepen its presence across the categories Australians care most about, and to help more people make better financial decisions every day.

Finder's CEO Frank Restuccia said Mozo's reputation in the market made it a natural addition to the Finder Group.

"Mozo has built a brand Australians trust. Their reputation for independent, expert-led comparison is something we've admired for a long time, and we're thrilled to add that body of work to Finder.

"It means we can serve more Australians, in more moments, with the information they need to win at money."

Restuccia said Finder's scale, data and product capabilities would be applied to bring even more value to Mozo's audience.

"Over 20 years, Finder has built deep expertise in helping consumers find better products faster – through our data, our content, and our technology.

"We'll be applying those learnings to enhance the Mozo experience and deliver maximum value to its audience."

Greg Silver, General Manager of Strategic Partnerships & Acquisition at Finder said the deal allows the company to combine the best from both platforms and help more Australians.

"Adding Mozo to the Finder network significantly expands our footprint across the categories that matter most to Australian households – from home loans and credit cards through to savings, insurance, utilities and everyday banking."
