Dads pay their kids an average of $26.58 a week in pocket money, nearly $10 a week more pocket money than mums (who pay $16.79)!
Our 2026 Finder Parenting Report also shows that:
- 73% of kids receive pocket money, 27% get nada
- 42% earn it through chores, while 30% get it unconditionally
- In the last 12 months, 28% of kids got a pocket money pay rise
- Another 1 in 10 got pay cut, while 63% stayed the same
