My fave Qantas Points iPhone deal is back: Get an easy 20,000 points

Excellent! One of my ultimate points hacks, the Apple-Qantas-Woolworths gift card deal, is back on supermarket shelves this week at Woolies.
This is a great opportunity to score extra Qantas Points - and hence free flights and other goodies - for anyone thinking of a new iPhone or Mac.
From now until Woolworths stores close on Tuesday 23 July 2024, Apple gift cards earn 20 times their face value in Everyday Rewards points when you buy them at Woolworths.
This deal pops up quite regularly at Woolworths, often just weeks apart. We've already seen it 4 times this year, and it happened 7 times in 2023.
Any time you're thinking of new Apple gear for yourself, this is a great way to get a little more from your purchase.
How to use the Woolworths/Apple gift card deal for Qantas Points
Sorry, you have to buy Apple gift cards in store - there's no option for delivery or online shopping.
You're limited to buying 10 cards a day, which you can spend on any purchases in Apple's own store.
If you purchased 70 $500 cards (the highest value available) across the week, you'd earn a whopping 700,000 Woolworths Rewards points.
You could then convert them (following our easy guide) to 350,000 Qantas Points – enough for a round-the-world oneworld Business Classic Reward.
Obviously, I don't imagine too many people are planning to spend $35,000 on new Apple gear this week (or any week).
But you'd still get a hefty points top-up if you decided to buy (for instance) a iPhone 15 Pro Max with 256GBGB of storage for $2,199.
If you spent $2,000 on your phone using this gift card hack, you'd end up with a healthy 20,000 Qantas Points.
