The prepaid Visa card supports five major currencies:

  • Australian dollars (AUD)
  • New Zealand dollars (NZD)
  • Euros (EUR)
  • Great British pounds (GBP)
  • United States dollars (USD)

Each currency loaded onto the card is stored in separate "wallets". You can move funds around from one currency to another currency using your online account. If you don't have enough money available in one currency to make a purchase, the account will automatically use loaded currency from the next default wallet in the account (this will be exchanged at the current exchange rate at the time of the transaction).

Key features

No loading fees

There are no fees to initially load currency onto the card and no fees when you need to top it up.

No monthly fees

There are no ongoing monthly card fees to worry about.

Prepaid Visa card

The 7-Eleven Just Go Prepaid Travel Card is a prepaid Visa card that you can load with the currencies you need ahead of your overseas trip and reload when you need to. Visa is accepted all over the world at ATMs and point-of-sale terminals, as well as for online purchases.

Your card is activated immediately

Once your identity has been verified using your Australian driver's licence or another form of suitable ID, your card will be activated and ready to use immediately. This can all be done in less than 15 minutes.

Manage your card online

You can keep an eye on your balance and load up more funds online. By creating a Just Go account online you can manage your account on the go wherever you are.

Convert your funds to AUD when you need to

If you no longer need the card but you've still got some foreign currency loaded on it, you can convert the currency into Australian dollars by logging in to your account online. This way, you can easily withdraw your cash from an ATM or use it to make purchases in Australia.

Daily exchange rates

The exchange rates offered when loading currency onto the card from AUD change daily in line with the mid-market exchange rate. There is a margin applied on top of the exchange rate that's offered to you. You'll be able to check the exchange rate offered to you before you confirm your transaction.

How to load funds

There are several ways you can load money onto your Just Go card.

  • In a 7-Eleven store: Head into any 7-Eleven store and use the self-serve kiosk to load your card.
  • BPAY transfer from your bank account: This can take three to four days for funds to load onto your card.
  • Direct credit from your bank account: This will take up to two days for your funds to load onto your card.
  • Paying online via a debit card: This transfer will occur immediately.

7-Eleven doesn't charge any card-loading fee for any of the options above (but it's important you check your bank doesn't charge a fee of its own).

How to order a 7-Eleven Just Go card

You can go into any 7-Eleven store to pick up a Just Go card and load some money onto it. Once you've registered your card at the self-service kiosk, head to the counter to show your ID (in the form of a driver's licence or passport) then pay to load funds onto the card (there's no initial load fee to do this).

Before you head in store, you can create your account online by clicking "Go to Site". This means your online account will be ready to use once you've got the card, saving you time later.

Has initial amount of money to load on the card to be over $100? After that, as long as the some balance is there, any amount of money can be used to purchase goods, e.g. use $10, 20, 5 etc. can’t be?

      Hi Non,

Thank you for getting in touch with Finder.

The minimum amount you may load with this 7-Eleven Just Go card is $100 AUD, therefore, you may load more than the said amount so long that it is not more than $30,000 AUD. You may use the balance on the card at any amount.

      I hope this helps.

Thank you and have a wonderful day!

      Hi Andy,

Thank you for getting in touch with Finder.

No. If you wish to put credits in cash with this 7-Eleven Just Go Prepaid Visa travel card, it will be in AUD. The minimum amount you may load in in-store is AU$100 and maximum of AU$3000. You may BPAY transfer or direct credit from your bank account to your 7-Eleven Just Go Prepaid Travel Card in AUD then you may convert your loaded AUD to your chosen currency, like USD.

      I hope this helps.

Thank you and have a wonderful day!

One quick question. So on the 7-Eleven Just Go Pre-Paid Travel Card, if I load $500 USD into the card in the US before I go on my trip to Israel next month, can I use that card in Israel? When in Israel, do I get the money out by going to the ATM (to get shekels) or can I just give the card to the vendor in Israel and he or she will accept it and do the conversion automatically? And If I need to reload the card in Israel, can that be done by my parents who live in the United States?

      Hi Samuel,

Thank you for getting in touch with Finder.

You may use this 7-Eleven Just Go Prepaid Travel Card at any establishment that accepts Visa and your transaction is automatically converted to their local currency. If you withdraw cash from an ATM in Greece then you’ll get money on their local currency. For reload, you would need to do that at any 7-Eleven store and use the self-serve kiosk to load your card or doing online or BPay transfer from your bank account or direct credit from your bank account.

      I hope this helps.

Thank you and have a wonderful day!
