Like Netflix, Stan allows you to watch some of the latest television shows and movies from your couch or on the run. While most of us know not to stream hours upon hours of content from our mobile phones, you can also hit your home broadband data cap if you're not careful.
The quality and quantity of your streaming habits both factor into how much data streaming Stan chews through. That's why it's important to consider how often you use Stan and how much data your broadband plan includes.
We've calculated an average viewing week to be 10 hours of streaming and we've based our data estimation off that. It's also important to factor in the data you use outside of streaming, like browsing, emails and viewing high-quality memes. How much data you use on Stan depends on the quality you're streaming at. Data usage increases from low definition to standard definition (SD) to high definition (HD) and 4K (or Ultra High Definition).
