Side by Side

To really make an educated, informed decision, you've got to lay out your options and look at them critically. We've found that the best way to do that is to put them side by side.

Tiny differences that really matter

Getting the bigger piece of the chocolate bar isn't a big deal, but getting a loan with a half percent lower interest rate can save you thousands.

You could find better

You could find better

Helping you find better is what we're all about. We've worked on making guides, tables and reviews for you to easily compare your options so that you can make the right choice.

What does our campaign mean?

Our message is simple: We spend a lot of time and effort comparing what doesn't matter, like chocolate bar pieces, when instead we could be comparing what can change things for the better.

It's not even all that difficult to compare things, especially when they're laid out side by side. Here at, that's what we do. We review finance and insurance products, find out their features, benefits and all the other fiddly bits and pieces, and lay them out for you to compare.

So give it a shot – compare something today and see if you can find better.

How and why we picked this message

In the lead up to launching the Side by Side campaign, we did a fair bit of research into the behaviour of our users, of savvy shoppers and of Australians in general. Did you know that over 82% of people applied for their finance and insurance products direct with the bank? That means that 4 out of 5 Australians could be missing out on lower rates, fewer fees and better benefits because they aren't comparing.

We saw this is a serious problem. We know people compare – we do it all the time – but they aren't putting the effort into comparing what really matters: their finances. One of the favourite examples that floated around during our research was how ardently everyone compares petrol prices, even being willing to drive a few extra kilometres out of their way to get a couple of cents off per litre. If were willing to go that far for a few cents, why aren't we doing the same for the thousands we can save on credit cards, home loans and insurance policies?

Using is much easier than driving around to every single petrol station in your area to get a discount. We've collected data from the banks, lenders and insurers and put all that information in a single place. We lay it out, side by side, so that you don't have to go around looking at each bank yourself. We've made it easy to compare the important things, so you really don't have any excuse no to. What are you waiting for? Check it out and you could find better!
