Are Australians clueless about their credit score?

A number that is surprisingly inconsequential to Australians.

Credit scores are a bit different here than they are overseas. In the US, for example, your credit score can affect not only your ability to get credit but also insurance, employment and utility accounts. Most Americans will be able to quote their credit score because it's such an important number in their lives.

In Australia, it's a little different. The large majority of Australians don't know what their credit score is, how it affects them or even how to access it.
