As more workplaces and car owners roll out EVs as part of their everyday processes, there's increasing discussion around how businesses can effectively adapt.

1. Can AmpolCard offer discounted EV charging costs?
Yes. As of 19 October 2026, Ampol has added AmpCharge EV charging as an available product to its AmpolCard offering.
Including AmpCharge EV Charging as part of your existing AmpolCard account – or by opening a new one – currently provides access to a discount of 4c/kWh when charging at AmpCharge locations.
In addition to offsetting charging costs, AmpolCard with AmpCharge EV charging can also provide access to a range of other tools too.
2. Can AmpolCard provide assistance with everyday financial admin?
Yes. Assisting with financial admin is a significant component of how AmpolCard can benefit businesses.
Each month your invoice will have a list of each EV charging transaction, including the Charge Card ID, location, time, kWh, rate and transaction cost.
Additionally, the AmpolCard portal can:
- Provide real-time insights into expenses
- Offer per-vehicle spend breakdowns (particularly important if you have a mixed fleet)
- Create ATO-ready reports
- Interface with Xero and MYOB
- Aid with fraud prevention
- Set spend limits on a per-card basis
All of these features can enable you to make more informed decisions when it comes to your company's expenditure.
3. Can AmpolCard and AmpCharge be used across Australia?
Yes. Currently, there are more than 400 AmpCharge charging bays around Australia, in more than 100 locations.
These locations aren't just limited to Ampol petrol stations1, either. They can also be found at Ampol highway sites (with drive-through bays for larger vehicles), and shopping centres.
The AmpCharge network is also growing, so check the Ampol site regularly to find a location near you.
4. Can AmpolCard help me consolidate my vehicle-related spending?
Yes. With AmpolCard, you're able to manage a number of different common expenses, including:
- Services
- Repairs
- Oil
- Roadside assistance^
This can be used for both fuel-based and electric vehicles.
Workplace Charging Solutions with Ampol
In addition to the AmpCharge EV charging being available on AmpolCard, the Ampol Energy Solutions team can also assist you with customised "back-to-base" charging solutions for your workplace and fleet. Operations and maintenance
Yearly inspections and certification are provided, as well as ad hoc repairs when necessary.
