With some health insurers, the end of the financial year might mean losing out on the health insurance extras you've been paying for all year!

But this year it doesn't have to be that way…

With ahm's extras limit rollover, you can keep most of your unused extras annual limits from the 2024/2025 financial year and use them in the upcoming financial year, if you stay on the same extras cover!

Get started with ahm

1. You don't have to miss out

This year's extras limit rollover can benefit both new and existing customers.

It's simple.

All you need to benefit is to have an ahm extras product on 30 June 2025.

Provided you have eligible unclaimed extras annual limits from the 2024/2025 financial year, they'll carry over to the new financial year.

So, if you're not an ahm customer already, but you choose to sign up on an ahm extras cover before 30 June 2025, you could get up to double the extras annual limits to claim on most services next financial year!**

You can find all of the fine print on the ahm website or contact ahm's customer support team for more information.

2. Most extras are included

Most of ahm's extras are included in the limit rollover but there are some exclusions to be aware of. See below and be sure to visit the website for full details.

The extras rollover will apply whether you hold a single, couple, family or single parent policy. There's also no limit on the amount that can roll over per eligible service.

So, if you've got the full limit remaining to claim on physio, for example, the full limit will roll over to the next financial year, adding to the fresh limit you'll get from July 1.

Nice! This offer is available for policyholders in all states and territories of Australia.

To make it even simpler, ahm has made it an automatic process.

There's no need to fill out any forms, you'll just start off the new financial year with a fresh set of extras limits, including any unused extras annual limits that have rolled over from the 2024/2025 financial year.

The best part? If you're new to ahm, that could mean up to double most extras annual limits to use right through to 30 June 2026!

Note, there are a few exclusions.

  • Optical and orthodontics where they have a separate annual limit
  • Pre and post-natal services
  • Hearing aids
  • Laser eye surgery and orthodontics lifetime limits
  • Joint fluid replacement injections
  • The number of services allowed per financial year

Check the ahm website for a complete rundown.

3. An opportunity to rethink your healthcare

ahm allows for flexible annual limits on some policies.

So, with the extras annual limit rollover, you can rethink how you use your health cover.

Let's say you need more dental cover this year than last year.

No problem.

Just combine some of the leftover funds from the rollover and use ahm's flexible limits towards the difference.

It'll firstly use up your new 2025/2026 extras annual limits, then use the leftover limits from 2024/2025. Because you can get up to double the extras annual limits, you could get more benefit back in a single transaction.

Now, some restrictions do apply. So it's important to check all the T&Cs.

But by adding ahm extras at the right time, it can be a great way to manage your healthcare needs.
