Finder's Editorial Review Board

We've invited a select few trusted experts across finance, loans, banking, insurance and health to work with us at Finder as part of our editorial review board. As recognised leaders in their field, they are at the forefront of their industries and are frequently quoted in national media with the latest insights, trends and updates.

At Finder, we work with respected external personal finance experts to judge our awards, contribute insights to our panels including our monthly RBA panel, and to review our content. The group who review our content comprise our editorial review board. While Finder's editorial team are all subject experts, we ask these external experts to ensure we uphold the highest standards and provide information that is accurate and timely, and represents industry best practice. Serina Bird is a proud frugalista who has amassed a multi-million dollar portfolio through frugal living and investing. She is the author of several books, including How To Pay Your Mortgage Off in 10 Years, The Joyful Frugalista and The Joyful Startup Guide.

Serina is host of The Joyful Frugalista podcast, which is available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. She is also the founder of The Joyful Business Club.

Karen Eley is the Founder of Women Talking Finance, which provides Money Coaching and financial literacy and education services. An experienced and former Financial Adviser who has worked in financial services industry for 22 years, Karen now helps women and couples who feel confused or overwhelmed with money matters to build financial competence and confidence through money coaching and education.

Karen is a Certified Money Coach (CMC) ®, holds a Bachelor of Accounting and an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and CFP. She holds director positions on boards for two profit-for-purpose organisations.

James Millard

James Millard, Director of financial advice and mortgage broking firm Sufficient Funds stands as a trailblazer in Australian financial services. Combining a B.Comm, majoring in finance, almost two decades of financial expertise, and a unique entrepreneurial spirit, he leads his large team and clients with the philosophy that champions aligning financial decisions with personal values.

His hilarious and deeply insightful book, Insufficient Funds, furthers his mission of empowering individuals through financial literacy with a relatable approach.

With a background in teaching, John teaches people all around the country and beyond about strong money management and property investment for wealth creation. John's passion for helping people combined with his experience as a property investor and property coach of over 25 years, empowers him to help clients achieve their property investing goals.
