Frequently asked questions about the Finder app

Why isn't my bank supported?

You can connect to over one hundred different banks using the Finder app, but we know this might not include your bank. We are working hard every day to connect to more and more banks, so bear with us!

Is the Finder app safe to use?

Yes. We keep your information safe using best-practice security standards and practices including end-to-end data encryption using AES256-CBC. We will never sell your information or use it in a way that you don't give us permission to.

You can find out more about the security of the Finder app here.

Why did I receive a message from my bank telling me not to share my password with third-party apps?

Finder uses a global data company called Yodlee to securely connect to your bank accounts and see your spending. When you connect your accounts to the Finder app, your bank is able to see this. Some banks send precautions to their customers when they detect this behaviour, but there is nothing to be concerned about.

Yodlee has been around for over 20 years and works with a number of Australian banks, financial services companies and technology providers every year.
